I may be thinking of the wrong challenge to be honest. bartons tackle on nasri was nowhere near as bad as de jongs (or bartons tackle on alonso) but it was meant to be a "marker" type challenge. And like he actualy thought of all this before giving his opinion on the tackle... He was asked about the tackle, he gave his honest opinion, it's a shite opinion like but what can you do. To suggest he should lose his job because of this is absolutely rediculas.

This^ I've never once heard anyone mention banning hard tackling, tackle as hard as you like as you have the ability to cleanly win the ball withought lunging in. Theres no excuse for your trailing leg wraping around (or even coming into hard contact) with the opposing player though.
