What site do yous use to check which channels games are on? Just incase I’m in the area now f I’m be, you know. -
Never even realised he’d player for us tbh.

Great football but it felt more like an ‘International Champions League’ than it did a World Cup. Summer beer gardens and the festival like feeling from the host country are what make it such a memorable event.

I mean maybe Casemiro like

It doesn't really matter if Joelinton is top 3, or top 300. The point is he offers a lot. The (arguably) main reason we're 3rd, and pissed last season after Christmas, is because Howe realises the importance of turnovers in football, and players like Joelinton are key to that.
-
Joelinton is one of the most disruptive midfielders in the world though, it doesn't really matter what non-Newcastle fans think. It's obviously completely hypothetical that he (or Bruno) actually make a difference, but stopping the opposing midfield from functioning is Joelinton's wheelhouse.

Quite the nostalgia trip with Ando getting personally offended any time a footballer doesn't make the most optimal play physically available. -

Maxi definitely improves us in the final 3rd like He's so much better than anyone else we have both taking players on and releasing others. -

The Quarter Finals: Croatia, Argentina, Morocco, and France through

Which manager is going to get England playing like Howe has us though? IMO the manager has to be English, there was a weird disconnection with Capello especially I thought. Then you have to find someone good enough for the job, but not good enough that they can get a proper club football gig (like Howe and Potter). Not that there won’t be better options than Gareth out there, but trying to find them seems like an unnecessary risk given we’ve had 2 great tournaments, and were unfortunate to be knocked out in the quarters of this one. USA looked really well coached, so I get why people would look at them (for example) and wonder why we’re not doing the same, there’s every chance it backfires though. -

Should 100% get the Euros. He's yet to have a bad tournament. -

France were shite like, absolute sickener. Shouldn’t even really be a factor but that ref is an absolute whopper. -
“Joelinton Casemiro Bruno” is a disgustingly strong and technical midfield like, it would never happen like and it’s easy to argue against it. Add Raphinha and Jesus and it’s ready made for energetic, pressing football with plenty of flair. EDIT: What STM said basically
-
Genuinely upset Bruno wasn't allowed to be a part of this. Turning it off
-
It's not even like the dancing is good, it's absolutely shite. Leave it to the African like Absurd goal though.
-
Gutted for Japan though, they've been great this tournament.

I've honestly seen japs give a better show of themselves on the final round of Takeshi's Castle.

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)
Hanshithispantz replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
Howe is tactically flexible, I don't think he'll ever be wedded to any particular system. We see that with how different we set up with Maxi in the side or not. Same with Trippier in or out of the side. There would definitely be a role (or roles) for Maddison. Putting him in the side wouldn't automatically drop our ability to press effectively as a team. Longstaff is great pressing without the ball but isn't particularly resistant to being pressed himself so there's an obvious trade-off there. Man City pin teams in and force high turnovers despite not having a particularly industrious midfield and attack on paper. -
Bellingham and Kane aside I just don’t think our squad has looked particularly functional going forwards, which is weird as we’ve scored more goals than anyone else
-
Mendy is legitimately just a shite goalkeeper like.
-
Sounds like they kna what they’re watching tbf
-
Bellingham will break the world transfer record.
-
Said it before but I don’t understand him as a single pivot at all. Phillips is the player for that.
