Pepe's weird because he looks too good to be bad Not sure what the full story is with him at Arsenal like.

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)
Hanshithispantz replied to joeyt's topic in Football
You really cannot say that until he's performed in comparative leagues (or you're talking to one of the coaches/players). Murphy and Almiron are actually very good footballers, they're just not Premiership level. Anderson looks promising but it's hard to say where he's at right now. It would be great if he can stay and make 30 starts next year but we have no real frame of reference to tell us that he would be even capable of doing that in the Championship. -
Tony Yeboah with shades of Cisse

That goal at 3.43 is absolutely insane like
-
Yeah that's how I remember it. He was basically the best thing we've seen on the ball in years so it was understandably glossed over like. The fact he'd just come from one of the best defences on the planet, who would have read his runs/played the offside trap better would have probably been a factor too
-
Maybe you fell a kip? Pretty sure it was Watford where he was woefully out of possition on atleast a couple of occations and didnt have the pace to recover, we never go punished but it was pretty apparent.
-
Watford murdered him like. Think he adjusted to Harrison after a shakey start and didn't have much trouble 2nd half.
-
Cannot see how it's shitty move like We have no obligation to save clubs from liquidation when it would clearly impact our own plans. Southampton will be signing the player (probably on a cut price) if they feel they're getting a good deal.
-
100% I do get it like, but since I actually started paying attention to him a bit more he's a really tidy player and does a lot more defensively than I thought. We need to replace him, but he's a more than good enough squad player. Despite his reputation he actually seems a decent bloke aswell.

Harrison (or whoever) needs to come in alongside

Last thing we need to be doing is selling our best winger like

True Geordie literally just used to performatively scream opening FIFA packs. It was cringey as out but he obviously knew it was getting him hits and allowed him to build up his 'brand'. It will be the same with Adam P. He edits his videos I assume, he chooses to keep in all of the obvious 'mistakes'. I mean he obviously never went to get a meal deal from Boots and ended up just buying three bags of apple slices because that's what he actually wanted . It's a bit. It probably started out with him just being naturally awkward, and then he'll have leaned into it. At this point he'll be fully aware of what's going on.

Going to go out on a limb here and say @Bompetermight be pulling your legs
-
Not sure Howe should have wished the lad dead in a car crash like but good interview otherwise.
-
Pushing teams wide and then asking them to try and beat Botman and Burn in the air could be a plan though. I do think Schar and Botman is just too handsome a pairing to break up like
-
He's probably not thought too deeply into it. Just 'say something to kill this conversation so I can leave'. And even if he is taking the piss out of Brentford, that doesn't actually mean anything Like you can joke on about the club you play for without it meaning you're ashamed to play for them, or are a bad personality in the dressing room. How the fans choose to take it is up to them.
-
It's obviously something that fans will take to heart but it's hardly strong evidence he's a bad charecter or out.
-
Tbf playing a full season's worth of games he probably wouldn't have been far off 40 goal involvements. He started relatively slowly at PSG too. Took 5 games to get off the mark and then was heavily involved for the rest of the season. He's in his mid 30s and nowhere near as physically perfect as Ronaldo like, so he could continue to decline pretty quickly.
-
Well nah cause yous are both talking shite I've never claimed he was great 'by Messi's standards' so not even sure what yous are going onabout. He's 35 and was involved in 20 goals in 24 starts. His general stats are also still insane. He hasn't 'flopped' and he wasn’t 'mediocre'.
-
Only 24 starts though. It's not up there with his absurd numbers from Barcelona but he was still easily one of the best players in Ligue 1.
-
Mediocre Messi got 14 assists and 6 goals.
-
Aye, don't get me wrong, I'm not expecting him to hit 10+, but I wouldn't be massively suprised to see him improve to the point he's a decent squad option beyond being just a tactical lump up top. Trippier back and a proper RW option cannot hurt. He looked lethargic and slow to react last season, and hopefully that can be sorted a bit too.
-
Toney looked a proper handful every time I saw him. I'd still prefer a <22 year old wonderkid as an understudy to Wilson though, or a CF who can cover the wings.
-
Maxi Wilson Harrison Really strong front three if that's it. I sort of prefer Harrison to Diaby too. Diaby is very likely the better player but Harrison feels much more suited to Howe, especially considering Maxi won't be doing much dirty work.
