I think .com have nailed it with Ashley changing the name with no apparent benefit other than showing someone "this could be you". Why is it necessary to change the name to show that the name can be changed? Why can't this wait until there is money involved? And if they are selling the naming rights 1. won't the association with a retailer of cheap sportswear drag down the image of the stadium they are selling? and 2. won't the acrimonious reception of this interim name simply put other prospective firms off? If if you accept the notion of the club needing to expand its commercial revenue, its still important to get paid in full. Arsenal are evidence enough that you've still got to get the proper going rate.

They looked off the pace till Drenthe went right and that may be a factor with Jonas's subdued showing. Marv's been tidy but nothing else. With both first choice CMs out, this second half should be that "test" everyone has talked about. I reckon had Everton hit that corner last week, they'd have scored against Manyoo. Textbook execution. Credit where credit's due.

Just noticed on .com, but its Andre Marriner. The same one as Everton away last time when Felliani should have walked and it was a blatant last man penalty against Coleman. Sorry if someone's mentioned it but given that we need him to sign up, wouldn't it be wise to hit Coloccini with a good offer now before the big three games we've got coming up? If we do as well as we could do, it's only going to bring more attention to him and strengthen his agent's hand. Given what QPR did and their defending against Arsenal, I can see us getting a result off Chelsea at least. The longer he goes unsigned, the more likely an Enrique type situation is to develop.

Everton pack the midfield so we could do with him back. It could be a repeat of Wigan with 3 vs. 2 in the middle, which would be much better with Tiote than Guthrie. Big one I think is to get Jonas forward this week and attacking Hibbert. That alone should win us some free kicks and drag them out of shape. Like Wigan, if we're not making chances, give HBA the second half. With Baines playing for them, no silly fouls for tackles from behind etc. near the box, thank you.
