And the fact that he doesn't evene want to participate in his own contract negotiations is kind of wierd to me tbh?
-
God hell, I so hate myself for having to work that specific game. Ben Arfa is utter class. From watching other bragging movies that could be the highlighst of a players entire career, but that's one game of ben arfa.
-
So I take it, no new players in the papertalk today?
-
CRISIS On a more serious note, I really don't think the club will allow every player you mentioned to leave this window. It will be over several windows.
-
I don't really get it.. If Jose doesn't want to sign a new deal. How can you all complain about the management of the club?
-
If both Nolan and Barton are leaving I really hope we are signing this lad even more. I watched a fair amount of Wigan games last season. And he allways seemed influental in the games he participated in.
-
Nolan is good at stealth ninja goalscoring when two strikers are ahead of him taking all the attention. Thats fine, but appearently he forgets to take his stealth cloak off again when we loose the ball... Also Nolan just had the perfect opportunity to get a good contract. He just scored 12 PL goals, doubt he'll do it again next season but others might think so and thats why he's pushing to securing a deal while statistics are telling others he's a class act.

Thank you for your effort Barton, your next paycheck can be picked up somewhere else.

Sometimes it seems like people want us to spend money just for the sake of it. To show of some e-peen. I think the board are going the right way about things theese days and they are building a self sufficient club wich will harvest goods for years. Yes some will look at us as a stepping stone for greater things. But is that totally bad? As it is right now we can attract players from france wanting to play for bigger clubs because we show we can let them go there if circumstances appear. But it also allows us to get theese players then rot away like stoke where people go just to hoof it and not play it. If we suddenly got alot of players, like Lille have done lately, and find us in a good position. We can have a crack at making the CL aswell, and spend abit more on quality to do it. Udinese have made it that way aswell, and sevilla or villareal(not sure about this one)

The norwegian liverpool forum says they are in for adam johnson in a 16mp bid.
-
Huntelaar is actually a player I could imagine doing quite well in the sort of play we seem to be looking for... Good finisher, strong enough and big enough to play with back against goal.
-
He's 26 man. You sure? Seems like he's been around for ages...
-
Gomez has really been out of form the last few years or so. But right now he's picking it together again and is scoring for fun. Both on the national side and for club side as I'm aware of. But he's getting on in age. Is rather slow and I really don't want him here. I would rather want someone who has something to prove at this level to help drag this club up.

Getting both Taylor and Ba in is good buisness. Yes gets some wages but still we got space for them and Taylor I believe could only improve. It adds well loads of depth in places we really need it and we can use our money on one or two class players to really lift the spirit of the geordies. Think its a wise move. And thats basicly what I expect aswell, it seems the management have tried allready with gervinho and gameiro to get the wow factor back. They want the stadium filled every week and to play good football. Kind of feel excited now wich I know I shouldn't be.

Would really love having Connor Wickham. For what its worth, he reminds me alot more about Shearer then Carroll ever did.

Actually, I would rather like Gutierrez in the middle having Barton on the wing. Why? Offers more energy to midfield in defence, and offers more speed going forward. One can say alot about our argie, but he do know how to carry the ball. And he played exceptionally well in the middle against chelsea. Think it really could be a formula for success with him comming forward with the ball linking up with players playing small one twos as he enjoys with enrique. -
I see where your coming from but why would Vela come and be back up here when he can do the same at Arsenal. Kid needs to find himself first team football. Totally agree with the last bit though. Here he would be higher up the pecking order, and he hasn't looked to be getting any time on the pitch for arsenal of late. I think he would come and he would easily slot in whenever we would need a goal, someone is injured etc. Can't allways count on the strongest team on paper. Injuries suspensions and tireness allways has a say during a season.
-
Imho, we should look to Vela again. If we we're to play a 4-3-3 he could aswell play in all the attacking positions and would be a good utility player with a knack for goals. N'zog to come in and be that bit more direct creative player linking up with the other frencies of ours and we just need a forward capable of scoring goals. With Best and Sholadinho in the back we got enough cover for a sole CF role. The forward instead of beeing such a poacher type I would rather us have a player in the zlatan, berbatov mould. Knows where goal is, got a bit of strenght and knows how to use his head. Up to carr to find this striker though. Haorau? That would be a GOOD summer in my eyes, adressing the speed of the team at the same time improving our striking options. Adding depth aswell.
-
Might just be a mindtrick to bust his world up. Before they build him back together as a new person.
-
Release clause? Smells Ashley signing a long way! Look up Nolan Roux 15 buts on your favourite video site. Looks like he got some finishing about him scoring from all kinds of angles and varieties.
-
So basicly the thread from lille is saying we're signing him now? Hope he's good, never really seen him play apart from a few matches in WC but didn't really pay that much attention to him tbf. Would love zoggy allthough if he(gerv) comes in I belive we won't pursue nzog, if he ain't cheap. Would love the comeptition it would make at our club if we had them all. But we are in dire need of a forward aswell.

Realistic Transfer Targets Summer 2011

Tbf, I don't think the club can afford to gamble on wickham at this present. We should rather try to go for someone at a lower level or another league if we want a young talent. 10mp is about the same amount as you have to pay for a decent 10 goals a season+ striker theese days. If we got nzog aswell this window, I would be very pleased with the dealings so far. Scott Dann is a player I think we should look at. Yes they were relegated. But he's young and up and comming. He could be brilliant in a few years time. CB can be a complex position to play, especially with the high line we seem to apply to our game. For a forward, I would really like us to go for rodelga. But there are players out there like caicedo and rondon. I think with the four new players we've got then its a massive step forwards. I'm especially afraid of coloccini next season, as I'm certain he won't get a new contract, despite beeing classy, he is overpaid. He's no vidic og nesta in prime, still beeing paid that kind of silly money. He would be getting on in age by that time, he might settle for a lower wage, but who knows? -

Like modric? -
I'm fed up with him. Playing him in the right mid with his kind of pace is a liability in my eyes when we got no carroll to aim early crosses too. Get rid of the money grabber now. So he can whinge about his england spot somewhere else. He's so full of himself I bet he even stores his own farts for special occasions.
-
That big changes was comming towards the team the next few years was ineviteable. We got far too many players on far to high wages compared to what they deserve. With out wagebill right now the likes of barton, smith, coloccini, jonas are taking wages fro 2 or 1.5 players each. And they are all over our "Key-player"-salery. Even if barton are offered 20k less then what his current contract helds, I still belive he is regarded as a key player. And will have the same wage of the likes of tiote and ben arfa. If he can't accept that, he's a greedy c*** in the michael own kind. I bet both he and his agent knows that he doesn't deserve that kind of money, especially after how he's been ripping this club off for years before he "miraculously" gets back into the form we all know he can a year before his contract expires and its due to a new payday. And I truly belive they will never ever get the same pay anywhere else as here. If so, they can gladly leave. Because its not about playing for the club anymore is it?
