Wonder whether oposing teams will fear the midfield when Sissoko and Tiote is lined up next to eachother.

What pace and power this man has, the signing I'm most excited about. Will hopefully give us that penetration from midfield.

If Moussa joins us I believe Marveuax can do a rather decent job outwide aswell. He easily ghosts past people, can play the ball. Also got a shot about him and decent pace to burn. On the outside Santon is more then willing to come around aswell to add numbers.

The feeling when Andy Carroll was shitting on the EPL our first season up has to be one of the greater ones in my stint as a Newcastle fan. Can't really remember much of the time before the downfall. But that feeling with a local lad leading the line and beeing a talisman for the club og city is great. Shame it wasn't longlasting.

If/when he comes I think Jonas still have a part to play in our squad. Same with Tiote.

How are the rules in such circumstances? Can we refuse to pay him whilst still hold his registration?

What has been one of Santons main issues has been end product. Can't see it helped to push him further upfield tbh.

Tbf, the names are fairly big, but the deals themself are quite cheap. 7 for Mbiwa, 3.5 for Sissoko, 3 for Haidara, 5 for Debuchy, 1.5 for Gouffran. Thats barely over a half Carroll.

Difference is pretty much height. Manu got Carrick, Swansea got Michu and Ki wich both are higher and poser a better threat then our midfield trio. They are all midgets, thats what worry me, players like Fellaini would have a field day against us. And don't even get started on set pieces.

Think he would be a good DM if we had some steel to go with the midfield. A Sissoko type. We are loosing alot of aerial battles in the middle of we are going Anita - Cabaye - Marveaux. Marveaux got good dribbling ability aswell as composure with the ball. Really think we could've played more of a probing style.

Really think he would be a development player, fringe player tbf. Santon has played almost all matches so far, and he looks shattered of confidence atm. should have a backup/competitor.

Seen him a couple of times trying to outsmart the attacker just to be passed by. Has to get more into the english game as there are more wingers here then inside forwards.

Should have had an assist on that Cisse miss.
