Just like when Brendan Rodgers made the switch over to Liverpool tbh. Magical transformation Tbh, wouldn't be surprised if SAF has had a word in his hear about the importance of systemic intimidation of the footballing world, and that he should hit the ground running in establishing a precedent of things he can say and go unpunished. Exactly. Wasn't Ferguson always whining that they got tough fixtures after European games? Old Trafford 101 tbh.

"A player will not now be given offside if the ball is played to him by an opponent." I must have missed a meeting.
-
Referee must have thought he did, or it should had been disallowed. Iirc the replays showed he didn't touch it, but as you say the ref thought he did. Should have been a corner I think.

And it was Norwich they relegated. Sunderland had already put themselves down. OK apart from that.

Pre Sky, he was the commentator for ITV in the North West and therefore commentated on many games involving said clubs. Woking fan, it says here. I know he wrote a book about the history of Arsenal, though, so I guess he likes them a bit. Didn't realise he's 67 now. Or that he comes from Chester. Apparently I haven't delved into his history much until tonight.

74 it was zaire defence trying to organise a wall shambolically against Brazil and a player running up and kicking the ball away as Brazil tried to take the free kick ? Tbf the guy kicked it away trying to keep the score down and avoid any worse punishment when they got home. He knew the rules and played up to the stereotype to get away with it. That's what he eventually said anyway, and I think it's plausible.

SBR He'd just won the League Cup with Luton, but still.

Wow. I had completely forgotten Mick Harford played for England. It seems impossible, but there it is in the history books.

Police Squad! In kinks at the lass chucking the bairn. That was a great show.

Chuck him in a cell ,treatment does fuck all,George Best to my knowledge was a harmless mellow drunk while Gazza is a violent, wife beating pathetic mess Nah, Best used to hit women regularly, usually his wife. Another flawed genius. Pissed people tend to make poor out-of-character judgements and overreact to others' actions, I'm afraid. EDIT: Aye, as Billy incognito said.

Bobby Cowell 327 I reckon. Frank got one in the League Cup. I'll get me anorak.

Still can't believe they used to do that tbh.

That Roberge played against us last season for Marítimo. Meh. He turned up and I noticed him.

Bobby was a brilliant manager who everybody thought well of, he was a gentlemen who gained the respect of almost everybody who knew him or knew anything about him. Kinnear comes across as an antagonistic, egotistical, pathological liar, the two are totally different. Your sig says it tbh. And there was that time an interviewer asked Shola what Bobby called him. "Carl Cort". Everyone loved Bobby because he was a nice guy. Jack Charlton got away with it as well when he was Ireland manager because he was, from their viewpoint, successful. Joke is an arrogant twat, an idiot, and - as you say - a pathological liar. He shouldn't have any job because he's inherently untrustworthy, he should be locked up for his own safety. Desperate times, and it's going to take a horrible disastrous event to make Ashley reconsider. Hang on there, chaps. Do you think I'm in the Kinnear camp? How did that happen?

Average Goal Difference? How the f*** did that work? Exactly. Games played vs goals scored/conceded I think. Goal average was number of goals scored in a season divided by number of goals conceded and was used up to 1976 in the league. Must have been a fucking nightmare to work out the permutations before calculators.
