We get one point for Jonas's conversion, right?

Would be nce to see Tav given a chance in the prem against the weaker opposition after his performance in midweek.

Was just about to post a witty (it wasnt witty ) reply to ipad guy and his post is already gone. Admins on the ball tonight lol

Getting beers and a bucket of KFC for this, good start to four days off two-one win for us i'll go for.

'I will keep them private, i'll just tell a national newspaper' What is this clown doing? edit: So just a minimum points per game only beaten by Man Utd and Man City last season and then not by much. Jesus, and we're the deluded ones?

This. Finish 5th and sack him, get innnnn. George Burley got Ipswich to 5th... It's not uncommon. Lets just see people's opinions come May. He's proven himself a good manager, if he's backed with reasonable funds he'll do well.

Disappointed to go out, thought this was a cup we could have a decent chance of winning. Some very encouraging performances from the young guys though, Fergie did well and Tavernier looked good.

Cracking cross. Think we've missed having a left footer out there who can put a decent ball in.
-
Same here, it's close to Newcastle though.

About 59 hours and 30 minutes. He never said he'd changed for the better

Search this thread and there's two pages of results for the word bellend.

Would it be more fun to beat them off the back of two good results when their hopes are up and overconfidence is blooming or to grind their faces further into the dust after losing to Wigan and City? I think the latter for me
-
Mostly in response to that loki dude, you're well kosher, man. Yeah, when i'd sobered up the next day and thought about it I realised it wasnt such a bad result. I think it was just the disappointment of not winning such a winnable game that pissed me off more than anything.

Because all foreign teams you've not heard are automatically s*** you big dafty. English teams RULE IDEMT. How many portugese league matches did you watch last season? Enough to know it wouldn't be a walkover with all our top level players not playing. I fully expect us to win at home though. Really? I've watched Maritimo a lot over the last few years, they're p*ss just like any portugese side outside Benfica, Porto and maybe Braga. We just drew nil nil with burnley. Does that make Sporting, who got to the Europa league semi final last year, the equivalent of someone like Cardiff? Righto Aye, Warsaw, Vaslui, Metalist and Zurich were really tough games. Canny result against City though.
-
I gamble, you end up watching a lot of funny teams and get to know them.

You're going to be very disappointed then. You're going to be very disappointed then. Been a newcastle fan for thirty years, i'm used to that, doesn't change anything.

Maybe because to some of us it is important, Dave.

A point away in the group stages is more than enough. If our fringe players can do that it's fully understandable that there's some shuffling amongst players. All teams do it. Really don't get that attitude unless we start doing it in the late knock-out stages and the likes. Wait until Man Utd next week. The League Cup 1969

Just glad we're focusing on the league so we might be able to get a place in europe and be uncompetitive again next year.

Carrying a bit of timber there.

I wouldn't say excellent considering the level of the opposition. For a reserve team they're doing ok. They're the fifth best team in Portugal. Outside of Benfica and Porto Portugese football is pretty woeful. This lot are championship standard.
