was waving his arms around in frustration at his teammates several times before going off. For a gets it merchant his mentality is one of the worst I’ve seen.

he honestly can’t even run, Wissa
-
goodness me Wissa is completely shite, like
-
Jacob at left wing back will be fun

agreed with the rest of the post but I can’t lay blame at at Thiaw’s feet for looking half the player he did earlier in the season tbh. He’s played every minute of every game for months now. Him and Hall (and Trippier c/o being 35) are the ones who’ve got genuine excuses that they have to play every minute of every game and it’s physically become impossible for them. We miss Schar for a variety of pretty important reasons imo, but a big one of those is that Thiaw’s having to play too much.

I don’t really think the fixture run is as much of an issue as maybe others do. The squad is desperate for fresh faces and renewed energy. edit: some of these lads haven’t even played much this season and they look mentally done in.

man it’s exhausting atm. Not been that depressed watching us for ages.
-
maybe I’m mad but I’m having problems believing in the legitimacy of that injury tbh
-
they don’t track runners or even try to put a foot in. Can’t carry two of them against anyone let alone Man City away
-
love him but Burn has been appalling in his last two games
-
they’ve properly given up
-
and Ramsey + Willock in a 3 man midfield is meaningless. They’re never there defensively.
-
people want us to press high but you can’t with this defence. They can’t win their 1v1s.
-
team looks like it’s had enough of this season tbh. Absolute garbage from most of them, this.
-
Hall at wing back with absolutely zero passing options in front of him twice now.
-
defence was too deep for that press

I said at the time that I thought £30m for Wissa is a transfer we should do. Sounded like our first bids were around that or less. £55m was crazy even if he’d scored 15 in the league this season and next for someone of his age with only one good season of PL goalscoring. The huge caveat is that we had to get someone and I’m not sure what else was possibly available for us.

That’s a nice move for him (Lens are PSG’s only title challengers this season for those that didn’t know). Hope he enjoys it there.

Eales was an appalling appointment, like. Disastrous.
