we are finding our spare man with ease all the time.

foul throw what a weapon

I wonder if Wissa plays off the wing here.

Palace are really poor with possession

If his contract is up in 2028 and he won’t sign a new one then this summer is the last chance to get a decent fee. It’s probably a sale that we sadly have to make really. Incredible defender but as others have said his attacking output and ability in the final third is really poor. I don’t think it’d be the end of the world.

so many of the sides around us are absolute shite, like. I've watched plenty of Villa, Liverpool, Man U and Chelsea and they are not good teams. We're not particularly good either ofc. Brentford look dangerous tbh. Had a slow start but loads of momentum now, solid defence and a lethal striker.

Liverpool look terrified of Arsenal

really enjoyed Hall and Bruno both running over towards the corner to celebrate the winner, but neither quite making it and collapsing on the floor instead

watching the extended highlights on sky and Joelinton after his goal has me in stitches absolute radgie plays right on the edge, and he's all the better for it
-
was it Don Goodman on co-comms for Sky last night? So biased

Point taken on the threat in behind, and agreed with that for when we're counter attacking, but I think the element of our play we're currently struggling most with is when the opponent is deep and we're around their box with the ball. We don't seem to create many opportunities for the striker because everyone sort of knows we're going to look to get the ball to the byline for a cut back. We have to try and find different patterns when we have the ball there. It's from these situations that we lose the ball and get counter attacked easily as well. Having said that we're creating plenty of chances from set plays and for our midfielders at the moment so we're obviously doing something different.

watching match of the day, and uncontroversial take but Igor Thiago looks incredible doesn't he. Does absolutely everything.

I don't think the issue is with Woltemade tbh. It's not really any better or different with the profile of striker we're more used to with Wissa. We have to get someone closer to them, and to support the press. Whether it's Joelinton or the wingers. There are definitely times where he could show better instincts in the box but I don't think that's anywhere near the top of the list of attacking issues.

yeah, it's been clear we need a keeper for a long time, but when you look at the quality of keepers across the league it is really, really poor. It's not an easy position to get right.

the caveat is that I've only been to 2 games in 17 years (and one of those was in a box), but I tried joining in songs last night and I literally couldn't sing the words fast enough please slow down, why do you need to get the song over with in 5 seconds? It makes no sense at all

I honestly thought he'd become indestructible. Was really upset when he was down and I realised it might be the last time we'll see him play for NUFC. Legend.

whether we like it or not he is basically the embodiment of this team, like. personally I love it.

still haven’t come down from that feeling, not even after 2 hours on the A1
-
glad I went in the end lad next to me who left at 2-3 got what he deserved
-
we’ve been so bad . Rocket up their arse please Eddie
-
A couple of more competitive sides in the league last season could’ve been the funniest thing ever, man.
-
can't think of another player in the squad who I think would behave similarly
-
If he was replacing Fabi (who isn't the best in aerial duels) it's fine, but yeah it'd be a big problem if he was replacing Burn/Botman to play alongside Schar.

nearly went arse over tit half a dozen times just stepping out the front door this morning so don't blame people for not making the trip tonight. But yeah, been watching most of the day and more and more tickets are becoming available. looking at my December credit card statement and pretty much starting to think sod it, what's an extra £55 on top of that
