I've only really heard what Man U fans have had to say about him. They all keep saying Carrick's been the best English centre mid (sometimes they even miss the English bit out ) for months though, so I really don't trust them.

Not really. Man U are a much bigger club than Spurs, have a bigger stadium and a better foundation for success. Spurs aren't going to reach a CL final any time soon, Man U can.

I'm actually quite surprised there hasn't been more pressure on him. His signings have been largely poor, their football is negative and they aren't in a good position in the league. Benitez was getting stick because they weren't in a CL position.
