Even though Lille say they want a replacement for Debuchy before they sell him, i do not think they would be prepared to keep a player who clearly wants to leave. There is still plenty of the transfer window left, i think they are just dragging it out in the hope they find a replacement in time, however i think he will leave eventually even if they don't find one.

If the ref had more about him we probably would have won that match, and they would have had one or two sent off. Having said that, senegal did play well and created more chances than us by far so we deserve what we got in the end...

Playing long ball is the way to get the best out of carroll, however using that would be detrimental to the rest of the team and how they play together IMO

it's one of those myths that folk believe Bollocks. There is a difference between 'standing' a winger who is on the ball (stopping them getting past you and preventing them from crossing but without diving in to win the ball) to aimlessly backing off and allowing them to get closer to goal which does do far too much

Not a chance in hell, i think its obvious our targets are CB, RB, Forward and possibly a midfielder and i see no reason why we wont get them. Well if we get in one forward we wont have any more than last season, plus we will be playing more games. Dont realy see the point in just loaning him out again...

If we dont find a buyer i dont see why we shouldnt give him one more chance tbh, with best leaving at least he is another forward option

Good point, forgot about potentially loosing cisse and Ba in january, still i hope we dont waste ages on this lad if we arent getting any joy, the same as we have with previous failed transfer targets such as maiga, erding etc
