I think the optimism was based largely on the assumption that we would be much more active in the transfer window. Yesterday's performance was a big wake up call. If key players like Wilson and Bruno have an off day (or when we inevitably pick up injuries) we will struggle. We have no strength in depth coming off the bench.

We need everyone to be on top form, to get anything from this. If we can keep it 0-0 for the first half hour or so, we might have a chance of a point.
Whatever the final score, it will be a boring watch, as we will be chasing shadows for 90 minutes.
Fwiw we haven't played too badly imo, we have got into plenty of decent positions , just shit end product. We haven't exactly been played off the park.
