He was massive for us during a really difficult period. Stood up when he didn’t need to and we were essentially a dead club. He arguably deserved an England cap in those Rafa years too. He also scored some massive goals for us as well - Brighton springs to mind. I would like to know where he’s been these last few months if he’s fit enough to play for another club as he deserved at least some fair well minutes. He was a much better defender than he often got credit for too. Good luck Jamaal, proper NUFC captain.

I’m the opposite I can totally see why we won’t. The squad probably needs some sort of overhaul and that’s going to be more doable in the summer. We’re in touching distance of the European places and it’s not out of the question Howe finds a solution and grinds results to get us there - I don’t think we’ll suddenly start playing beautiful football but we’re capable of getting results. Add in PSR and how poor value is in January and I just can’t see it. Personally I think we’re desperate for a 1st team addition for a morale boost but I can see why it won’t happen.

Think the club’s PR are failing him. Doesn’t matter what he says there’s a section of the fan base turning and they’ll find something. Best course of action is to take him out attention and hope he gets some consistent form going - not that he’s been all that bad recently.

Would go Elanga, Gordon and Wissa for this. There should be plenty opportunities to press and counter - they might just pass through us but it’s more our style.
