It’s not hard to see why we signed him. His profile is exactly how we operate and his goals/assists were good for Forest. Aside from a few flashes he’s been shite though and that’s undeniable.

There’s a bit of a Jacob Murphy thing going on with Gordon now where his form was off for so long people have deciding he’s shit and it doesn’t matter what he does the poor side of his game will be highlighted over anything decent - goal and assist v Leverkusen and the whole match thread was littered with people moaning. Has he been off for a while? Absolutely yes, too long. He’s obviously got the tools to be a top player though. Like Murph he’s gonna have to put a good few months in before the boo boys change their narratives though which I suppose is fair enough. He’s definitely scoring a pen past Rewfs at the weekend.

They’re having an unbelievable season, hard to beat. We’re awful etc etc 1 point ahead of us? 2 points behind us after Sunday. I think we’ll win this comfortably. They’re really solid in that low block but home crowd in a derby and I think they’ll up open up more. We’ll do them on the counter.
