Baffled he’s played Shelvey over Longstaff in a game where we’ll need mobility and won’t have much of the ball. Dummet over Schar is mental as well. I thought we’d lose two or three but it could be worse.

I honestly thought he’d do well. Given his success in Spain and the Europa League and him being a more tactically defensive manager I thought that would provide the structure Arsenal needed to build on their usual style. I didn’t expect he’d somehow make the defensive side worse and their attacking players non existent.

Does the boring stuff that helps the team flow which often goes unnoticed. That's why Rafa selected him ahead of shelvey. I don’t think either are the answer and both should probably be moved on.

I think I read the other day that they’re going to try and offload him in January as he isn’t rated. Sort of agree with that too as he only really impacted a couple of games and was really passive in most.

After watching the highlights those two set pieces from Hourihane were absolutely superb, particularly the delivery for the second. Heaton should be ahead of Pickford in the England set-up too. Every time I see him he seems to be making game changing saves.

Same. I think Lascelles being out will have a bigger impact that people expect too. I did see something the other day that apparently Villa have conceded the most shots on goal in the league this season though so maybe our front three might finally start converting some of their good play.

Watching Sheff United v Liverpool and I don’t want to get too carried away with negativity but regardless of how this ends up Sheff United look way better than us. In fact I don’t think I’ve seen a team as bad as us this season.

Reminds me a bit of how bad Brighton were at home v us last season. Arguably the worst half from a premier league team I’ve seen and I think we may have just matched it.
