Might be my age but I can remember Faye being shit but it was just a short period of time. Colback seemed to be stinking the team out for years. His attitude was absolutely lifting at the end as well given he was arguing with Rafa on the training ground. I defended Anita at times but there’s no wonder we went down with those to in the holding roles

I’d say Colback was worse than Smith. At least Smith participated in turning the club around but for all his effort was just a bit pap. Colback came as an average player and became an abomination of one. The amount of attacks he ruined by not playing it forward or the free kicks he gave away in dangerous areas.

Liverpool have really thrown this away.

I like him but it’s hard to see him staying given he’s a top earner and is in and out the team. I’d like to see what he could do if he started a few games with Almiron, Perez and Rondon in front of him. That said It’s been years since I’ve watched us close down and move the ball as well with both Hayden and Longstaff in those two holding roles.

He’s been a solid buy from his loan in the championship to some performances last season but he’s a consistent 6 out of 10 player. If we don’t want to be a team that’s just staying up we need a better alternative. I was hoping it was going to be Murphy to take his place but it seems he needs more game time.

More disappointed compared to the anger most people seem to be directing at him. He could have been a fantastic player for us and for Chelsea if he had a full season like he ended last but after a handful of good games early on he’s just gone. He doesn’t even have the drive or dynamism he had or seemingly any tactical awareness. I think he’s my biggest disappointment this year because I thought he was going to be a next level player for us.

Aye, with those players on the field, I reckon we go in at least 2-0 up there and probably no way back into the game for them. Never mind though, pretty comfortable point away from home. Don’t think Murray gets that basic header for the assist with Lascelles on the pitch either.

Not sure how we failed to punish Brighton but maybe being without Lejeune, Lascelles, Almiron and then Perez might have been one key injury too far for us. Kenedy man, absolutely loved him. He even started the season well v Spurs iirc and has then mentally just gone. Doesn’t even give a shit about playing for us anymore for whatever reason but he looked a £30m player and now he barely looks worth a punt if he was cheap. Hayden aside I’m not sure any of our players in that second half looked even remotely bothered.

Feel a bit aggrieved to have conceded against such a vulnerable Brighton side.

I can’t remember playing a less competitive side? Not in recent years anyway. I don’t know if we’ve been lulled by their shitness but we should probably have asked more questions because going in at 1-0 seems a let off for them.
