Along side Shelvey and Dubravka I’d say Lascelles has stood out in games when we’ve been up against it unlike the rest of the squad.

Technically a good result... doesn’t feel like one.

Just shows how important confidence is in football. We looked levels above these at the end of last season.

I know we're bad but Mark Hughes is an awful manager and It's the type of gaming I could totally see him losing.

It’s pretty hard to see anything other than relegation. I know teams have done it before in a similar/worse situation but we don’t have the quality, confidence or the backing. It’s such a shame given what could have been when it looked like that Staveley takeover was happening. Absolutely sick of losing now.

Random point but I thought Martial was absolutely quality in that second half. I’d love it if we had anyone even half as confident to run at people with the ball.

Thought the movement between Muto, Perez and Kenedy was one of the more obvious positives from that game.

Even before that I thought he was nowhere near closing down players and it just spiralled further down after that free kick. I like him but to depend on him for 90 mins in every game is too much to expect and it’s another gaping flaw in our recruitment we didn’t get a proper replacement for Merino.

Oh god the “not even bothered” craic is in.

Thought Lascelles, Shelvey and Dubravka fought all the way for us there. Aside from them there was some truly abysmal second half performances: Ritchie, Atsu and Diame were terrible. We don’t even have an alternative to Diame.

I always prefer to be hopeful entering games but even with Man U looking absolute garbage I just can’t see us offering enough to trouble them. I’m desperate for that post-game winning feeling rather than being a miserable bastard all weekend.

I wonder how badly those Man u players want Mou out? Because letting us win is an absolute nailed on way to go about getting him the sack
