  1. This next day feeling without a win is getting a bit grim isn’t it?
  2. Pure sick of not winning and it’s still September. Hope we can make some sort of comeback here.
  3. A bit disappointed we didn’t go with Murphy over Atsu. A right footer cutting inside with Kenedy on the overlap could have been nice.
  4. Not bringing in left back cover was always something that was going to bite us in the arse - for all people are mixed about Dummet we're always much worse off when he isn't in the side. I'd love a couple of games in a row with our strongest possible team please.
  5. I think we'll win, we're not nearly as bad or as useless as some people are making out. I don't think it'll be an easy game by any stretch but Leicester seem weird under Puel and I think it's the type of game we'll do well in. Hoss to grab the 3 points.
  6. Hopefully we’ve got our full strength team fit and starting. I can’t remember many games where we’ve had everyone in this season. Hopefully we can come away with something from this.

    Jacob Murphy

The speed that some people are prepared to write this lad off is unbelievable.

    Rafa Benítez

The reality of the complete lunacy that Mike Ashley is mugging that man off seems all the more insane looking at that picture.
  9. Hoping Kenedy’s Injury isn’t too bad and Shelvey and Richie are back soon. Shame the fixtures have been so vile for us because we’re going to be deep into that bottom 3 before we start gaining real ground. Unless we get a daft win somewhere.
  10. Ki being Merino’s replacement is textbook Newcastle transfer activity.
  11. Thought Rondon has been our best player. Hoss to save the day though.
  12. This is hard enough without literally every minor decision going against us.
  13. Hate that every positive this season has been quickly followed my a morale crushing punch in the face. Last minute penalty v Cardiff... missed, late equaliser v Chelsea... og and then that absolute horror show tonight. There’s some awful games coming as well. I’m reading loads of people on twitter criticising Rafa... incredible.
  14. Agreed. We need to stick together though. Massively important to our season but there’s people already desperate to have a meltdown.
  15. Wasn’t confident going into the game this week but with none of our best 3 players in Kenedy, Shelvey and Lascelles it seems pretty impossible doesn’t it? Hoping for a miracle result.

    Kenedy

I can't remember the last time we had any luck like this either. Seems like we've been shafted by the review system for as long as I can remember.
  17. Dreading playing Chelsea on this evidence.
  18. Pleased with a point all things considered. I think it’s going to get pretty ugly for us given the fixtures and if today is anything to go by it’s going to be a long, hard season.
  19. That's because our own football isn't good enough to pass it round either. Think it’s more to do with us essentially being best at counter attacking which is almost impossible against long ball shithouses. Still think we might pinch this.
  20. Happy with that lineup. Also pleased to see Murphy get on the bench. 0-1 Joselu
  21. Arguably as happy as you can be from a loss. I thought we could have easily come away with something against a very well drilled spurs game. I was hoping they’d look tired and not up to speed - they didn’t. The quality between Richie, Shelvey and Kennedy is really great to watch when they’re all firing. Kennedy even has a touch of Ben Arfa about him when he’s running at players. It’s been a while since I’ve seen such a visible downgrade on the pitch from Ritchie to Atsu though. There’s got to be a really good argument to give Murphy his spot on the bench and further his own development. Atmosphere in the ground was banging too!
  22. Good luck to him, we’re going to need something.
  23. Think this’ll be one the few times we regret selling a player. Flawed, underwhelming at times but with time on his side I think he’ll prove to be a good Premier League striker. Good luck to the lad.
