Would have preferred Merino over Shelvey but I think that’s as good a lineup as we can put out.
-
Pleased we got a point in the end.

0-2 Gayle Murphy Gasping to for a win here.

We seem to be the only side around the bottom not pulling off surprise results. Given we’ve failed to beat Swansea, Brighton arguably Burnley and lost to Bournemouth at home we’re gonna have to get a couple of expected wins from now til the end of the season. I’ve always been confident we’d stay up but with Swansea and West Brom having a bit of a resurgence I’m not so sure anymore.

Undeserved away win. It’s been ages since we’ve had any luck - hopefully this weekend is the time.

After the disappointment has passed a little I feel a tad sorry for him. He worked hard yesterday, won a ton of headers and tried to put himself about. He’s just truly awful in front of goal, he shouldn’t have been allowed anywhere near that penalty. He was smacking himself in the head for about 5 minutes after missing it. I haven’t seen the highlights yet but that chance in the second half looked dreadful.

As dramatic as it sounds I was proud of our fan base seeing that banner unfurled last night. If we’re going to stay up we need to be united and behind the team 100%. All week I’ve seen someone on my timeline retweeting all the devisive, self-important and arrogant stuff Michael Martin and others have been spouting as if they’re some sort of martyr or superior fan. I’m not sure what the answer is to change ownership but creating divisions in our fan base isn’t the way to go. Credit to Wor Flags and everyone involved in making that. You’re a credit to our club. -
Get him straight in the first team!
-
Eh? I thought he was very good tonight, certainly better than his other recent matches. Having a player that has the confidence and ability to trap the ball on his chest makes such a massive difference to us. Agree! Had a very good first half and managed to keep the ball moving despite Burnley’s efforts to turn it into a Championship match.

Just in, just about thawed out as well. It feels like a loss given the amount of chances we had to kill the game. We’ve absolutely no luck at all at the minute. Not winning those sorts of games does carry an ominous feeling with them, especially considering how tight the bottom half is. Not sure where that performance came from Diame but he absolutely dominated. Kenedy also looked like a standard above anything we’ve had this season. Hopefully Slimani can score enough to keep us up.

Really like the look of that. Huge game for Atsu on the right given he’s been quiet lately. Murphy’s unlucky to miss out 2-0 to us ?
-
New cm pairing apparently... hope it’s not Mbemba
-
Darlow has been better of late but both of our keepers have directly contributed to us losing points this season so any upgrade on dodgy af has got to be a good thing.
-
Good on him going abroad. It’ll only help his game compared to the scrapfest in the Championship.
-
How many loan players can we have?
-
Slimani is the absolute best we could hope for and I’d be very pleased if we could pull that off so late. We twist at every loan fee though so it’s just not happening is it?
-
Really like the look of that lineup.

I keep pathetically refreshing twitter in the hope to get excited about some fake transfer news from a local journalists. It's like I'm begging to be pissed off like yesterday all over again.
-
No players and selling a Merino would be the final straw for me - more significantly, I expect it would be for Rafa too.
-
If they sign Schurle we’d be mad not to try for Rondon or Rodriguez.
-
I’m assuming we won’t go completely silent this early. I’m guessing there’ll be some sort of token attempt at a striker. Any predictions on who it’ll be to falsely get our hopes up today?

Nicolai Jorgensen to stay at Feyenoord
St1pe replied to WarrenBartonCentrePartin's topic in Football
Well today has been fun. -
He's choosing to go home for 6 months. It's hardly him permanently signing for Pardew over Rafa. Can see the logic in this. He's got the choice between two awful teams but one of them means he can be with his family. It makes sense. It does also feel that much worse for us given another moral busting transfer window. I wonder if we'll even attempt to look at Jorgensen again?
-
Seems like a bit of an odd transfer for wba. Rodriguez has just started to look like his old self again and they’ve got Rondon. Both being better than what we currently have up front. So are we really going to lose out to wba and see him played out of position? ?
-
Why does this happen to us? ? That little glimmer of hope before it’s crushed in front of us. Hope Pards plays him on the left wing.
