Just reading Benitez’s comments reminding people Ayoze played on the left last season. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him there and Diame through the middle. Expecting nothing from today but mostly hoping we don’t get absolutely smashed.
-
Really? It's ridiculous how people think stuff like that. We've had a few s*** results tbh, and we've been very fortunate in some games too. To say this was the only bad result we've had is a bit baffling mind. We’ve narrowly lost games against similar sides away from home that could have gone either way. I stand by the only result you can look at on paper and say is a bad one is this. We’ve barely added any first team players to a Championship squad and we could easily have got something from every game aside maybe Spurs.
-
Don’t get people’s arrogance at times. We’ve marginally lost a poor game the same as we marginally won one the week before. We’ll be around the bottom 10 teams who are all incredibly similar. This is arguably the only bad result we’ve had this season but the drama at ft after a loss is pathetic. Thought going 442 made us too dependent on long balls and it just doesn’t work for us. I’m guessing Mitrovic will be sold in January because if he isn’t getting on in a game like that he never is. Manquillo was poor again, that shit header right at the end should have cost us but for Clark’s block. I’d really like to see Mbemba back in. I also don’t think that goal happens if Lascelles is on the pitch too.

I’ve watched a couple of Bournemouth games this season and they play some good stuff but I think we’ll get another narrow win today. I can’t see us being as bad going forward as we have been against Palace and Burley. We should get a lot more space with their more agressive style. It’s just a massive shame Merino isn’t playing because it would have been the type of game he’d thrive in. 2-1 Joselu Lascelles Predictable Defoe goal.

I'm not sure if it was Opta but I'm sure I read Burnley concede the most chances in the Premier League which is little surprising. Hopefully we've got enough to get something if not a win. Also hoping Merino starts.

They are f***ing awful aye, only one that might be decent is the keepers top one. And Shola on a bike obviously. I don't think they're too bad. Any group trying to make a difference like that deserves some credit imo. Shola on a bike is getting my vote mind ? -

go on.. https://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=105&fid=1 Their post-match thread reads exactly how this place would have been had we narrowly lost a shit game like that.

Hell of a result given the state of the game.
-
Would also like to see them both on early. Joselu had a good start but I think Mitrovic deserves a run now.
-
Story of the season. Aye just the poor 18/19 shots we had last weekend away to Southampton or whatever it was.
-
I really think you should be starting your best players and Merino is certainly one of them. That said I've got complete trust in Rafa.
-
I think it'll be a narrow win for us today. I'd prefer to see Clark back for a more familiar partnership at the back but aside from that I think it'll be the same side plus Merino. I hope Townsend doesn't score or have one of his games. I know there's a few on here that dislike how he left but I'd still love to see Ritchie and him in the same team. Ashley or whoever was in charge of screwing that transfer last January really missed an opportunity.
-
On the flip side of that even our wins could have gone either way too aside from West Ham. I don't think there's a whole lot of difference between the bottom 12 or so teams.
-
Expecting nothing because it's Southampton away but like others have said they're not the same side they've been in recent years and neither are we. I'd be very pleased with a point. Joselu to score ?

Brilliant news!

Again, cheers for the inside story wor jackie. Yourefforts and that of the other lads has been fantastic and it's definitely improved the match day experience. I hope it all continues to grow. -

Thanks to wor jackie and Heron providing an insight to what's going on. I sit in the east stand near the corner flag and the Gallowgate flags group has dramatically increased the atmosphere in the ground over the past couple of season, you fellas deserve a ton of credit. I still think it's a bit disappointing what's happened, I thought the name was an important brand - I guess - that was well known amongst fans and the media. It seems pretty selfish and pathetic two people are prepared to take the name and for what? I just hope it doesn't go like the supporters groups did a few year back where loads of splinter groups started up so in the end they mostly all got ignored by the masses. -

Read that too. Something very weird about all of this but I'm pleased whoever is left is still going to be putting this on. It seems weird whoever is in control of the twitter account is telling people to give money to the other group though. -
For all he's been shit in the last couple he was excellent against West Ham and Stoke/Swansea - I forget which.
-
I'm not as confident as some given Liverpool's tendency to miss a lot of chances. They look to me like they could just as easily hammer someone without breaking a sweat. I'm hoping with how solid we have been, them playing in Russia this week and the weather being absolutely diabolical some of their players won't be at their best. I'll be optimistic and say 2-2 but I think we could be just as easy on the end of a pasting.

After watching motd2 this morning it looked like he was saying to the ref that he slipped.
