Like a lot of people I didn't want to sign but he's proven a lot of us wrong with some massively important goals. Good luck to the lad but it's a shame he ended up at Forest. I think he could have been a good signing for any of the top teams in the division.

Terrible signing. Hard to see what the logic is on this one. It makes not giving Anita another contract look even more stupid.

Matt Ritchie (now Technical Director at Bournemouth)

That guy on twitter is retweeting links from 2014 ffs -
How can you judge someone so definitively at that age? I'm being lazy and using the Kane comparison already mentioned in here but he looked no where near the player he is now even as recently as when he barely played under Hughton on loan at Norwich. He had talent, got game time on loan and developed. One thing that caught my eye on one of those Jacob Murphy compilation videos is how good Armstrong looked for Coventry. I'm not by any stretch saying he's good enough now but he's obviously talented. Send him on loan and fingers crossed we might have a decent player all going well. I don't get how people can be so certain.
-
Why? What happens if he has a really good season on loan?
-
Edwards especially. He's been like that since he got banned from the club. Constant negative twist on everything and the first to try and start the hysteria on twitter.
-
I haven't been as pessimistic as most people on here but reading Hope's tweets and a new round of similar excuses of why we're not signing a whole host of wingers is just really pathetic. The club really need to make a statement before the negativity spills into the new season. ... or worse and lose the best manager we've had in over a decade.

Given the prices in this market Darlow for around £5m is an absolute steal.
-
Holtby for a reported £5m seems like a good deal to me. I'm probably in the minority but I thought he looked decent for Spurs.
-
Vaguely remember a Brentford fan on here months ago saying Jota was shite?
-
This. Hope it isn't one of his old tricks to stop any transfer dealings.
-
I can understand why it's a difficult choice for him. Glen Murray wont be able to play a ton of games at Brighton and he could easily be first choice there. I think most of us are struggling to see how Abraham is going to fit in for us unless Gayle's injury problems continue.
-
Will be a good free transfer for someone ?
-
I'm the same as a few others on here - it's a good transfer it's just a shame there's no option to buy. I'm more interested in the wider impact this will have on Mitrovic and whether we'll look for another striker.

missing 3. The leg breaker (can't for the life of me remember who it is ), guy in blue sliding celebration and white kit volley Klinsman sliding, Yeboah with the thunderbastard and Eduardo had his leg broken but I can't remember who broke it either.
-
I can understand it. I always find it odd when English born players choose to try and play for Ireland, Wales etc because of a grandparent. If there's no national pride there then you're better off quitting and leaving it to someone who cares.

Norwich at home felt pivotal so if I had to go for one i'd probably go with that. Some lesser mentioned things that have been high points: The majority of people whinging when we signed Ciaran Clark - me included - then him turning into Paolo Maldini The bitterness of other "big clubs" in the league whinging about parachute payments and how much we've spent despite our players sales and not actually receiving payments. "Mitro's on fire" blasting out from our away fans. Special mention to the same song at home after the game and Mitro absolute loving it. Shame that song didn't get more of an outing due to him not exactly being on fire The forum bricking it earlier in the season "insert winger" is going to tear Dummet apart" Dummet cancelling out every winger in the league Rafa shaking everyone's hand after Preston and the crowd loving his mini lap around the pitch. Gallowgate flags and everyone who has tried to build and maintain an atmosphere into this season. Top work. David Prutton predictions having us around mid-table. Prutton Diame's world class Ameobi finish v Brighton.
-
Villa fans probably cheered the goal going in.
-
? Pretty much my perspective too. I was gutted we threw the title away but seeing us promoted at home to Preston was excellent. Both us and Brighton have had chances to kill the title race and haven't taken it. Fair play to whichever club manages to scrape it.

Saw this on twitter too ???

Love this! Also congratulations!
