Really nice video, that. Definitely tugs on the heart strings.

I think Diame sort of epitomises most of our squad players: none of them have really stood up and really pushed to make a name for themselves here. A lot of players have had the chance after good cameos but then failed to really make a difference when a run of first team games has come around. I've also got a weird Santon/Haidara type situation going with Perez and Diame in that whoever is playing I seem to prefer the other. I really hope one of them steps up in the last 10 games.

I can't possibly see what could go wrong throwing a brand new back four together for the craic after one defeat in 11 games at the business end of the season.

14 years to day since we were playing Inter off the park in the Champions League and it's now hard to be too p*ssed off about getting dicked at home to the 7th best team in the Championship? Aye, OK. Obviously in comparison to that it looks absolutely critical but over the course of the season it's the first time we've been out played. I'm not saying it's excusable but it hardly warrants the meltdown that some seem to be adopting.

I don't think Gayle is fit. Not 100%, he seems to be holding back, don't know if that's mental or physical, but something doesn't seem right. Yep 100%
-
I guess he has to start on merit next game doesn't he? Even if Gayle is fit.

A little disappointed yesterday because it looked abysmal but in some ways it's hard to be too pissed off because they put in comfortably the best performance from an opposition team I've seen. £20m seemed ridiculous for Cairney in January. I'd be over the moon if we got him in the summer. Imagine if we'd had him instead of Colback? We'd have pissed all over this league. We're over reliant on Ritchie forcing the issue and it showed yesterday when he had an off game. Brighton lost two on the bounce against us and a poor Forest side but they bounced back. It's important we do that against a bad Birmingham side. I'm also not buying that this one loss negates the good work against Brighton and Huddersfield. It should show how important those wins were - people need to give their heads a shake.

I've watched a few Liverpool games lately and he's been absolute quality. It's annoying to be honest because he was obviously a top class player but it was just pure desire and a lack of care for our cause - even under Benitez - that was the problem with him. I don't have the same dislike for him as I do Sissoko which I guess is strange given it was the same problem with him.
-
Completely disagree. There isn't a better left back in this league than him.

That starting 11 looks painfully dull. Fingers crossed we get something from this.

I think it'll be a big ask playing Brighton, Huddersfield and Reading away within a week and coming away with 9 points. I'd take a point in this but I expect it to be another tough one. I wonder how many - if any - changes he'll make? A lot of those players have played a lot lately.

Looks like a weird foreign exchange student.

I thought it was too good to be true getting that favourable decision. He's been dying to even it up.
-
Wow I really didn't expect that

Pleased Murphy has been given a start - hopefully he isn't as dreadful as he was last time he earned a starting role. I think it's a mistake dropping Yedlin but overall that looks like a good starting 11.
-
Fully expect Brighton to come back and get something. Forest were one of the worst teams we've played in the league this season. Even with 9 men we were better.
-
I'm really bemused how some are still managing to criticise him after last night.
-
It looks like Atsu could have a huge impact on the remainder of our games. It was nice to see us having two actual wingers playing. If we can get Gayle fit we should be flying again.
-
Massive win. Incredible management with the aggressive subs. I've kept reading all week how much better than us Brighton were, Knockaert v Dummet   6 points fuck off!
-
Horrible decision to shoot there
-
Murphy on to rescue the game?
-
You know Rafa is pissed off with the strikers when he plays neither of them ?
-
The irony of you coming out with statements like that. Nothing ever sinks in.

I just can't see us starting the game as poorly v Brighton as we have in the first halves v Villa, Bristol and QPR and that can only be down to complacency at home playing against apparent lesser teams. Brighton aren't as bullet proof as people on here have made them sound. We're not going to be trying to keep the ball with pointless possession like Reading did inviting them into their pressing game. I'm weirdly confident we'll get a win or worst case scenario I think we're more than capable of getting a draw. There really isn't a great difference between the two sides though. I'd start Murphy simply because of his goal record at their stadium. Football is weird like that. 0-2 Murphy Clark Absolute scenes on the forum. Nee bed wetters in sight.
