I do think as a fan base we have to be careful to a certain extent. There seems to be a section that’s convinced themselves he’s shit and was only good because we played everything for him. He’s inevitably going to come good at some point. I’m not sure what my point is here. I guess it’s a good laugh how he’s struggling given the summer but let’s not pretend he isn’t going to start banging them in leaving some people looking a bit daft.

Came on to post this as I’ve just seen it on twitter too. it’s a bit of an alternative opinion but stuff like that is easy to miss when watching a match accompanied by a wall of negativity around a player. I think he’s gonna be great for us eventually. One realisation I did have watching this clip is even on some of those failed moves were actually light years ahead of where we were under Bruce. Howe is so underrated - we’re a really top side.

Hearing MGW talk in the pre-match interview about how they’re trying to have more possession and play more doesn’t bode well for them given how well we press. Stuff like that takes time to implement and there’s already a stink around Ange. Obviously mad results happen but if we start the same front 3 and don’t play Burn at left back I can’t see us losing at all.

I dont think the spell up front helped him this season then it was followed by the red card. I just want to see him on one side, Elanga on the other and Wolt up front for a run of games.

Already this season there’s been some proper morale sapping bullshit. The summer, Wissa’s injury. Then straight into those crushing late goals and lacklustre away results. Some of the decisions we’ve had against us have been appalling too. We’ve got the tools and the manager to get it right but we need to get going sooner rather than later.

There was phases last season I thought Amorim was nearly there but I’ve definitely been wrong about that - he’s surely done.

Not really seeing him as a 10 like others have mentioned. His strengths allow the space and confusion for the cb’s whether to go or not similar to how Kane operates. I don’t think he’d be the same player if he had someone like Wissa as a 9 ahead of him. I can see our wingers scoring a boat load of goals though if they can get it right with him.

I’m disappointed he hasn’t kicked on given his first team chances but he’s not shite. He’s primarily a goal scorer and if things had been slightly different for him in the last couple of games this thread looks entirely different. He hasn’t got the levels Gordon can produce but we’re a stronger squad having him in it.

Can see why he’s gone for all pace on the front line given their style of play. I was convinced he’d go for Livramento and Hall given the pace in the wide position but Trips is a big game player.

Only seen those twitter individual match compilations of this guy but I can already tell he’s going to be gold for Gordon with his hold up play.
