One of only a handful of players I would be sad to see go. Good luck Tim
-
Surely Armstrong will have to start? Perez and Ritchie in the wide positions and hope we can dominate the ball enough in the middle of the pitch.
-
I also think we have to win. The team will be full of confidence but I can imagine that being very fragile given how poor we've been for so long. If we're serious about gaining an automatic promotion spot - or rather if we're capable of getting one - then we have to take a big scalp on the back of the wins we've had. I think we'll do it.

Good signing! I was at the Sunderland v Leicester game last season and I was surprised at how fast Yedlin was. That's pretty much all I've ever saw of him mind but I having someone with that speed in the Championship should be very useful.

£10m is an incredible fee for him. He had that spell during McClaren's reign where he was comfortably our best player but none of that had anything to do with actual defending. He's one of those that I'd point the finger at who should have done more to stop our relegation a long side other senior players. We even looked more solid in the latter stages with Anita at right back over him. If the reports are true and we're signing Yedlin as his replacement and selling him for that fee then I think it's good business from us.

Not keen at all with this starting 11 but that has to be a good sign because I was the same before the Reading game. Colback over Shelvey just seems woeful though.
-
He's been told he won't be given the game time he needs. The move makes perfect sense for him and the club.

I've just got an overriding feeling of disappointment with how it worked out for him here. In some of his cameos he looked very talented but couldn't get a run of games with his injuries. He also deserved more game time under McClaren when he was fit but just didn't get it. I think games like Sheffield Wednesday in the cup and Aston Villa at home really went some way to damage his career here. Both games he missed absolute sitters that could have led to more game time if they'd found the back of the net. Good luck to him though, I hope he gets fit and does well.

That team is baffling. I hope it gets us a win because otherwise the meltdown will be severe.
-
We're crying out for someone dominant in the middle of the pitch, Jedinak would have been an excellent addition here.
-
From what little I've seen Wednesday look in a far better position than Derby to have a push at promotion. I guess they must have offered him a lot more than he's currently on.
-
Terrible result. It's hard to say too much given I had to endure the radio coverage but it sounds like the rebuilding process isn't going to be achieved as soon as we'd hoped. It's early days but the Reading game is pretty massive now.

It's really quite amazing how quickly any good feeling amongst the fan base is crushed in recent years. It's almost an instant punishment for having any hope.

Would love for us to win a few games for a change. I knew this season would be hard. We've been awful for too long and confidence will be rock bottom until we can get a few wins together. I didn't expect it to be this bad but we just need a bit of luck to get going now. We're desperate for another natural wide player.

Deadline for week one is half 11 this morning, so you still have time. Maybe it's worked then. The app only seems to be displaying the week 2 games when picking a team though. Try logging onto the website version, a few people have had trouble with the app. Sorted it. Thanks!

Just made my team now but it looks like I can only pick a team for week 2 on the app. I'm guessing I've missed the deadline for week 1?
-
I really hope we sell him. One of his worst performances for us was against Sheffield Wednesday last season, if he doesn't want to be here he'll be an absolute liability.
-
I thought he looked bright as well. He seemed to link up play better than either Gayle or Perez in his short cameo. He definitely snatched at that shot but given how ineffectual the partnership of Gayle and Perez was last night - I know it's early days - I don't think we're in a position to loan him.
-
I was trying to look for positives after the game last but I'm more mad than anything else this morning, hopefully the players are the same. The mackems seem to be outdoing themselves on social media since as well.
-
Has to start from now onwards. I understand some of the criticisms but we had Colback, Anita and Hayden playing safe, side-ways passes last night and it got us absolutely no where. If Shelvey can get back to form he's a top 10 Premier League player, he should dominate the Championship. We're going to have a lot of the ball this season like in phases last night, we can't continue to do nothing with it or else we can't be surprised when nothing happens.
-
Well done to Fulham they fully deserved the win. The negative start today cost us. Three defensive midfielders on the pitch, no real width on both sides and Gayle and Perez unable to make the ball stick. I can't say I'm massively surprised. Our away form was shocking last season and it'll take a while to build some sort of positive mentality but it's worrying the same old problems exist. That first penalty decision was really pivotal but It's pointless being too upset about that now. The only positive from this is if we finally see and end to Colback in the starting 11.

Big chance for him here
-
Absolutely nothing sticking up front for us
-
Ah the familiar feeling of disappointment.
