I don't know whether that would be a good thing or not? The club clearly rate him internally as he was the only surviving first team coach and he's expressed his desire to manage. I think I'd rather see how he did rather than give it to Pearson, Bruce or some of the other shite managers that have been mentioned.
-
I wonder if Martinez would be an option? I've a mate who's a big Everton fan and they've seemingly had enough of him down there. I'm guessing he'd have better opportunities than us, assuming he is sacked.
-
I think I'd go for someone young along the lines of Monk. I wouldn't be massively surprised to see them give the job to Cathro.
-
We battered them but WBA are a f*cking horrible team and we couldn't break them down. If they keep Pulis I hope they get relegated next season, they're even worse than Stoke when he was there. I think we're pretty much nailed on to go down now. Happy days I disagree. Norwich are shite and if we'd had an ounce of courage yesterday we'd have beaten them. I'd actually prefer it if Sunderland stayed up. I think we'd have a better chance of gaining promotion if Norwich went down rather than Sunderland, especially if Allardyce stays.

It was the hope that was the worst part of yesterday. We clawed ourselves back into a position where a draw would have been ok and then working a blink of an eye we're down. I hate this feeling like you're staring into the abyss. Will we come back up? What players will stay? Who will be the manager? and what bs will the board pull? All shit questions that no one can possibly know the answer too yet they'll drag on all summer.

I won't quote that post by figures because it's massive but I agree with most of it. I can't see us doing it thigh and I'm absolutely gutted. I've woken up entirely dejected after that late surrender and the thought of what could have been under Rafa if we'd have stayed up.
-
It's hard to remember a time I've been this gutted post-match. You couldn't write a more morale sapping game.
-
Awful performance. I guess we're down then.
-
Really not to keen on that lineup. Hopefully Cisse discovers that deadly finishing he once had.
-
Solid away win. We must be due something to smile about and today is the day. 0-2 Townsend Perez

There was a stage when I was bricking it every time he was in the team so it just shows how things can change. Darlow was thrown in at West Brom and was awful but he's guaranteed 8 games now regardless of how good or bad he is so hopefully with less pressure we'll get to see the player the Forest fans were disappointed to be losing.

Weird one this game. Realistically we need to win for a number of reason. It's absolutely imperative we win to have any chance of survival and if we are to be relegated I guess it's better Norwich go down with us rather than Sunderland as Big Sam will likely have a better chance of bringing them back up making it harder for us. From the highlights they seemed to get fairly lucky against West Brom and with Rafa having more time with the team I'm feeling weirdly confident we'll win.
-
If you can't see they were the better side, there really is no hope for you. I think we were as dominant in the 2nd half as they were in the first, neither team looked anything special.

Painful truth there.

I still really don't understand him playing on the left?

Gut feeling is we're down. The international break might give us enough time to improve again but I don't think Benitez can work miracles. If a new manager bounce with someone like Benitez combined with a local derby can't motivate some of those players that we seem to carry then nothing will.
-
And less of shelvey Shelvey was one of the few that was busting a gut to get all over the pitch. I can't get my head around how anyone can watch that and wants to see less of him.
-
My gut feeling is we don't have the balance or the quality to stay up on that performance. The 2nd half was better but just little in terms of quality going forward. I don't think you can realistically play those two centre midfielders together you need some sort of defensive player in there. Perez was a minor plus point moving out to the left. I think Sunderland might actually stay up as well.
-
And have more derbies? No thanks.
-
We look like we're destined to go down on that performance. The next 45 minutes is massive for our season because if we lose, or even fail to come back and win this, I can see most of those mugs putting even less effort in. Sissoko needs taking off and shooting.
-
Can't believe how attacking that lineup is from a Rafa side.
-
I've woken up full of cold this morning, if we fail to win this I'll need putting on suicide watch at full time.

That's up there, if not worse, than when you used to slate Ben Arfa at every opportunity on the other forum to get people kicking off. Dreadful stuff.
