    Steve McClaren

I sometimes forget how much contempt the club has for its fan base until something like this happens. We're all just left in the lurch for days wondering what's happening, desperate for some sort of idea of what's going on and they couldn't give a shit.

I'm finding today as painful as the Bournemouth game. We seem to take a lifetime to do anything.

Here I was thinking they must be sounding out a replacement not cooking up a way to tell us it'll be business as usual.
  4. Pardew and Villa being absolutely horrendous and I can't even enjoy it. Sickening.
  5. Things are that bad I almost convinced myself Sherwood would be a good short term appointment.

Agree with every word of this. The tactical and personal decisions in the Stoke and Bournemouth game have been some of the worst and most desperate decisions I've seen from us. It's almost as if he was just throwing things together and hoping for something to happen. Also agree on the Hope stuff. Like Luke Edwards he's loving his moment in the limelight. Edwards still bring it up every chance he gets. Total shit bags.

I'm desperately refreshing Twitter this morning hoping for some news. This really isn't the time to make a slow decision. We're on a knife edge as a club.

Can't believe this mug hasn't been sacked yet.

I really hoped he would have just resigned, admitted he'd failed and left with a shred of respect. It's time for Charnley to show some balls.

That Southampton equaliser was massive. Sack McClaren. New manager bounce in for a derby win. Survive. That is definitely how things are going to play out...

Ideal scenario would be a Sunderland and Norwich loss and McClaren removed at full time. It's the only way today could end in a positive.
  12. Rivière's Leon Best moment today? The home hattrick from no where rather than the...er.. rest of the performances.
  13. I think losing and him not being removed is probably the most depressing thing I could consider pre-match. Is Townsend confirmed injured for this as well?

I guess we'll see how true that is in commitment in the performance today?
  15. Why? Hope is right no other premier league club would have McClaren peeling oranges. He's slammed us for weeks and it's tedious. Similar to Luke Edwards he blatantly has a gripe with the club and he jumps on anything he can. It's also massively unprofessional ranting like some little mug at a press conference like the idiots they get on Sky Sports News. More importantly we need to win and I really really don't want to go down. If we lose today it's curtains regardless of whether they sack him. The Telegraph seem to have better sources as well and according to them there doesn't seem any desire for Charnley to sack him. Where's your desk located in Sport Direct United's PR Office. I hope they reward you with a prime window hugging plot for uttering such bullshit. Wew ructions!
  16. Fair points I guess. Although my original post was slightly tongue in cheek I still don't agree with the rallying around some bitter journalist who's own interest seems more central to his actions rather than the plight of the club.
  17. I should have added that I want him removed. He should have been fired within minutes of that Stoke loss. I just don't see any positives of failing to win today. We'd have to then get a win against Leicster, City, Liverpool or Spurs.

  19. I hope we absolutely batter these today. Get a massive win, good performance then McClaren walks into the post-match press conference and sticks his balding nut straight onto Craig Hope.

I hope since he's grown a pair and defended himself against someone who has been slamming us for weeks that it translates to having balls with his tactics and team selection at the weekend.

"Never sack Pardew" I shudder just thinking about that logic.

100% agree with that Vlad. What exactly is one or two games going to prove if you've already made that decision. Total shambles.

"Newcastle stars" "French contingent" hilarious. We can't afford anything other than a win against Bournemouth and if there's a few players fannying around at the off chance they hope McClaren will be sacked then I'll be livid. What an absolute mess this season has been.
