I feel like I need something mad like this to get me going for the new season. Mitrovic, Paqueta, Grealish. Something that looks daft on paper but has enough of a what if element to get me interested.

Would genuinely rather sign Wissa and DCL than giving Chelsea anywhere close to what they want for Jackson. I don’t really dislike Jackson but he’s a work in progress and like others have mentioned anything north of £40m-ish and we’ve been had.

When he does sign for Man U I just don’t see a world where a front 3 of Cunha, Šeško and Mbuemo doesn’t absolutely murder teams. If they add Baleba into the mix and Amorim’s style of play I think they’ll be right back up there.

Ah that familiar feeling of transfer pain. I genuinely thought we’d get this one done. Can’t fault the club at all with this one but the effect of another failure will be massive given how badly they managed the first half the window. There’s going to have to be a hell of an effort to cover some of the gaps in the squad now.

100% agree with this. Add in having to re-integrate Isak if he stayed could be iffy for squad morale. Potential in Sesko + an experienced striker is the way to go and Wissa is the perfect proven candidate for that.

It doesn’t really matter what the fee is if we can’t replace him this window. It’ll be another Carroll situation. If we do sell him in this window I want to see some fucking intent from this board though. There has to be some positives in terms of player arrivals on the back of it.
