Keep seeing these mad formations on social media with Ekitike and Isak up front, Gordon and Elanga on the wings as if 442 suddenly becomes a viable formation again because you’ve got two good forwards. I wonder if he’s aiming for a more fluid front 3 like PSG used so well this season with all 3 forwards regularly switching positions - it’d be a hell of a tactical change to try and implement.

I find it mad we’re actually going for him. Would be incredible if we can pull it off. I’m not sure how everyone fits together but I’m real interested to find out.

Given the prices now £60m for MGW doesn’t even seem that mad.

£15m seems really reasonable for Longstaff. If you look at the money Sunderland are chucking around for these random players that could be a really solid buy for Leeds.

I think we’ll squeeze another couple of million out of them. He could be a major asset for Leeds.

£12m for Longstaff does seem low mind.

Kudus, Elanga and Madueke all going for around the £55m mark seems about right to be fair. It’ll be interesting to see who turns out to be the best buy out of the three.

I know this is from Chelsea’s latest PR mouth piece but this is one of the main reasons I wasn’t that arsed about losing Pedro. He’s a striker. He was never going to play ahead of Isak and we’d have had to shoe-horn him in to make things work in a position he doesn’t really want to play. That isn’t a big loss for us.

Loved him. History will be kind to him and he’ll be remembered fondly. It’s a shame his legs went so badly and injuries mounted up taking its toll. He had some massive games for us but Arsenal at home really sticks out in my mind where he nearly scored not far past the half way line. I hope he gets a decent club for his last couple of years.

I’ve just got this nagging feeling that he’ll sign for someone and do alright. Not saying he should be a priority but we clearly have areas of the team we want to strengthen and allocate resources to and a second striker isn’t one of them. If Wilson doesn’t sign or even if he does can’t shake that DCL would be a better option.

£55m +5m or whatever is being reported this morning is too much for him and what he improves for us. It might be a poor comparison but if you look at the type of players City have signed for less or similar money from Europe this summer we need to fuck off this Premier League market.

Not even bitter about this one. Including him in the first 11 would require a formation/system change or he’s a second striker to Isak. Far too high a fee for that level of question mark. I do hope he’s shite though. Now go and blast some serious money on a proper right winger please.
