  1. Everything dodgy as fuck. If player didn’t want us, we’d surely not make a bid, much less two. If player wants us, why would his club accept a lower bid? Only way the above two would fall Manure’s way is if the player was lying through his teeth that he was amenable to our terms, making him a pure rat.

Didn't @Bunk Moreland just post in the "Other clubs' transfers" thread that Juve were planning to get Thiaw as a makeweight in a Vlahovic deal with Meelan?
  3. We should start a new poll - Sesko in for 70 million pounds and Isak gone? Or keep Isak and use that spare money on Wissa plus better quality in midfield and centreback? I'd vote the latter.
  4. Ironically, our plan this season was likely RW (Elanga), Wilson replacement (Wissa?), a CB (crickets on this one) and a goalkeeper (Ramsdale). A CM as a bonus. Isak throwing a huff has thrown the narrative into some disarray, but the silver lining is that no Sesko means we can more firmly issue a "hands-off" on Isak, and then once again bring our focus back to just signing Wissa and a CB. CM as the bonus.
  5. Doesn't matter, we're not spending this 90 million Euro bid anyhow lol.
  6. This is like a shit version of "The Bachelor" now
  7. Tottenham are after Wissa. Thomas Frank.
  8. One of the Youtube stats nerds, maybe Antonio Mango, came to the conclusion that Jackson "makes his own xGs" (gets into spaces, beats his man etc to create goalscoring opportunities) a ton, but just can't put them away. And Sesko was the other way round. In which case, a Jackson/Wissa pairing may just give us plenty of goals. Although it's pure stats wankery, it's somewhat plain to see in the videos of Jackson I've watched.
  9. I'm actually quite touched that you're being sympathetic to us here.
  10. Makes no sense though. We reached an agreement with the player means he's happy with the terms. And we're offering more (and more upfront) than the Mancs? He should be on a jet right now for his medical.
  11. If we know we aren't getting him because "he only wanted Manure", then up the ante. Bid 100mil. Leipzig then has a standoff with the player. Manure has to cough up much more.
  12. Manure will chuck 250K per week at him and his agent will cream his pants. It'll only go one way. Move on.
  13. Hedge against him being sold for 100+ mil next summer and we can splash out for at least Wissa, a CB and a CM easily.
  14. 4) Using this "journalist" to shame Manure into actually putting a fucking bid in so he can say "I OnLy wAntEd Manu".
  15. I would also be perfectly happy with Isak being told to sort his head out and buckle down and get to work. We were supposed to be keeping Isak and getting a high-ceiling young player to replace Wilson. Spending 40 mil on Wissa means no resale value, whereas Isak + Sesko is 200m plus of bankable potential.
  16. Again, if I were Yasir reading this, I'd deliberately keep Isak just as a "fuck you" to these ghouls.
  17. "I was concentrating on recovery for my thigh strain, and no the reports didn't faze me. I knew I had to get back to full fitness to be playing again, and the thing to do is to ignore all that noise around me. Which I did, honest."

He probably just read all the August 2024 posts on this same page, to be fair.
  19. Ermagerd, we signed Sersker!
  20. Both him and Romano built up their reputation over the past five years to reach exactly this point - having enough solid credentials so that people lap up every bit of propaganda that they're now paid to shill. The only surprise is that we haven't seemingly paid them off yet.
  21. A simple “he’s under contract and not for sale at any price” immediately resolves the situation, IMO. Any fallout on the playing side just needs to be resolved quietly and internally.
  22. Ramos also cost PSG 65+15 million Euros. He won't cost much less than Isak Liverpool should buy him.
