I don't understand how Caulkin can tolerate Twitter. Absolute melts. Neither do I. Think in one of his podcasts he was asked about how he copes with people badgering him and he said that he'd turned his notifications off. He probably doesn't read the majority of it.

So do I, at the age of 45 I thought I'd be beyond all of this emotional and obsessive shite, but this has completely consumed my life for the past month. It's all I think about for around 95% of the day and it's completely spannered my sleep pattern. I try to think it through methodically, and when I do I always come to the conclusion that it has to be given the green light, but the not knowing coupled with the fear that it could be knocked back is just torture.

It reads like one of those joke customer support accounts on Twitter.

The only way that this isn't going to happen is if the consortium pull the plug, the PL will be desperate to find a way of getting this through and the delay will be more about them making sure that they can exonerate themselves once they've passed it.

Tweets been removed not sure if legit or not. For those who missed it was the St James park sign being pressure washed with the caption "by royal appointment". Apparently photo is a few years old, which is probably why they've pulled it.

Sundays will be out in a few hours, if there's nowt negative reported in them then I think that's an assurance that we're home and hosed.

Fuck sake. Caulkin even manages to make me tolerate this cans nonsense. He's too good. Couldn't get away with the whole cans thing either, but I suppose it's probably best to embrace it as it'll be a big part of how this is remembered

More positivity from George.

Absolutely! Like you, it's not exactly on my doorstep but it's well worth the drive. Due to the lockdown I'm slumming it with 6 bottles of brown in the fridge for when the announcement breaks.
-
what did you get? I’ve driven past that shop, god knows how many times and I’ve never been in. Is it good? Everyone seems to rave about it. If you like craft beer/real ale then it's pretty unrivalled in the local area, my favourite place for beer by far. They do amazing fresh onion bhajis as well, like mini footballs.

No, I think it just breezed through without much fanfare. What quote? Just the one off earlier today which was getting a bit attention on here, where he's basically said it 'will' go through. Yeah, it received quite a bit of attention and he hasn't backtracked on it.

Probably reading too much in to this, but the main headline on the club page has changed to a link to the NHS Coronavirus guidance. Possibly aimed at the numpties who may head up to SJP when it's announced.
-
I'm surprised Adrian Durham hasn't said the Saudis should be investing the money into the NHS instead. I think read somewhere that they will be making a sizeable donation when the deal is announced. Clever really, as even Amnesty can’t shit on the gesture given what’s going on. "Healthwashing" Bed bathing

This. Even spending the money that the club generates and not taking four weeks to complete a transfer would be massive improvement.

Lip service for BeIN/Qatar. "We looked into it, but we couldn't knock it back."
-
Yes, there's a video kicking about on Twitter. Him and Gray discussing it.

That didn't last long, he's deleted his tweet.

https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/archive/united-freeze-or-reduce-season-ticket-prices/ A few years to go yet, according to this. It mentions the 2023/24 season as being the final year.

The helicopter from yesterday made a return journey to the UK and landed in Oxfordshire today. Where did you see this? It's on Flight Radar, landed a few miles from Kassam this afternoon. His usual chopper hasn't moved since 29th January.

Aye, was thinking the same. When Keys opens his gob it usually comes from Ashley or Bishop.
-
No one has told him it isn't happening, they're questioning why it would happen. Secondly, it's not just about the acquisition of a football club, there is potentially a much bigger project on the cards involving regional development. A successful football team would only be one piece of the jigsaw.

You can just see Charnley making sure that Ashley gets to read it, in an attempt to save his own job. The statement will achieve absolutely nothing positive.
