Ah yeah, forgot ASM and Carroll. They'll all explain the bulk of the year on year increase
-
Yeah there's another 200 club staff including management/coaching to add on. With player bonuses etc the 80m is more likely. No idea about the 20m increase....Brucey buyout to Wednesday maybe? Agent fees, player sign-ons - JLs extra costs would have been chunky etc. No idea where they sit in the accounts though Auditors would have had a look at that mind you as does stand out

Approx £150m on wages and about £80m on player amortisation (iirc).

Hope he hit them with some scintillating chat from his books... Halfords - "How can I help you sir?" SB - "I need a new headlight bulb" Halfords - "Ok sir, can I have the make and year please?" SB - "It’s an XJ8, 3.2, sports version, V Reg. The XJ8 has just about everything a man could wish for in a motor car. Or, for that matter, a woman could ask for. While there are few women in the highest levels of soccer management, there are many women in business at top managerial levels. They’ll make their presence felt in soccer as the years go by. Mechanically, the car has many excellent features. 3.2 litre AAJ-V8 all alloy engine; anti-locking brake system; facia and side-airbags for both the driver and the front passenger; power assisted steering; stability control; five speed electronic automatic transmission. The audio system couldn’t be better. There are nine speakers and a six-disc CD autochanger" Halfords - " ok sir, here's your bulb"

If it ever goes through I'm sure we'll look back at the 2/3/4 years it took and have a jolly good laugh

"he’s a little bit more tactically aware and up to date" Wow

It's not up to you to decide what is reasonable or ludicrous. If the mods didn't like it they would delete it...lord knows they've had enough opportunity to. If it offends you so much, set up your own forum and allow only one thread per topic. Until then, try having a little willpower....you're basically digging at Whitley Mag, Manorpark and Keith and we've all got to read the repetitive drivel. New page soapbox

Just merge the takeover threads. Everyone posting/crowing on this one anyway.
-
We have no idea what effort the club did or didn't make. It's all been pretty quiet...
-
You're making the assumption that it was a solely club decision. Just as likely that Lejeune wanted to remain in Spain to be honest. Would be interesting to know one way or the other but the club is rather hypocritically not transparent
-
Genuinely didn't mean to reply disagreeing with you, was just my own musings. I'm sure he will see it as losing 300m, just that the courts won't and his compo will be a fraction of that.
-
a. He hasn't "lost" 300m. He's lost the difference between 300m and the value of the club now plus potentially some lost costs in relation to revenue last year etc. b. The takeover is no more or less likely than it was a week ago. The timeframe has altered, that's all. The risk is that the buyers might pull out beforehand I suppose but the cases or no weaker or stronger than before. c. On the disclosure side - the PL might have asked for shit loads of evidence that they know will be tricky for the club to get, whilst also requesting more time as their own evidence is complicated. The judge doesn't care whether a takeover happens in 1 month or a year. Is potentially no reflection on the case....
-
It doesn't say that exactly, or rather it's not necessarily negative. The PL, and our own legal team, may have asked for information that isn't readily available from the other party and the court has adjourned the case until it is. Can't see any reason for us to not disclose if we could but obviously in the PLs interest to delay, delay, delay...
-
Has AS got anything to do with this arbitration? Surely it's all Ashley and legal team messing about with disclosure and all her info is from them. She may not have known it was going to shit as she looks pretty silly after her recent interviews.
-
I'm very balanced and even I think Keith has let himself down a bit. He always came across as passionate at the beginning but it does seem like he's sold out for the attention such as teaming up with Wraith etc. If the takeover happens and it transpires he did have some positive influence at the beginning, then it'll be a shame as I do think his behaviour since will have tarnished it a little. But hopefully by then we'll all be going mental that I doubt anyone will care
-
I do wonder why players like Fernanades and Schar signed new contracts. I can't bring myself to believe it's a Bruce influence and more Jones - some of his training sessions with England looked pretty good. Hoping Lejeune will be given another chance as well. Cant see us in a relegation scrap with Jones, if we get Willock and can keep ASM
-
Give it a chance, just got to keep Calm in the Chaos and you'll be fine

It doesn't in the slightest, but I'm hoping thats why Staveley is pushing for it to be transparent/aired, and that it's sufficiently dirty that the PL would rather reach an agreement then it become public. Why else would she want transparency? As Midds says, it's not in reality going to effect the evidence and influence the judges decision.
-
My hope is that Staveley is confident in winning the case but also aware of how long it could take and by forcing transparency, it might make the PL settle earlier so as not to air their (hopefully very) dirty laundry in public. On the flip side it could be that they she doesn't feel confident but has enough evidence to make the PL shifty (Bein and "big 6" comms etc) and the transparency might be the more likely/only option to win. Something for everyone Personally, if the PL are confident why are they delaying? I'm hoping it's cos they're not and hoping the consortium will withdraw if takes too long.
