Who wrote it? The article is bang on It's really not, with this section being the shittest: "City employ the best coach in the world and play the most beautiful football many of us have ever seen in this country and therefore our attitude towards the regime in the UAE starts to soften. Sports reporters like me say we are separating the beauty of the football from the regime that is financing it but the cunning of sportswashing lies in the fact that by reporting on the enchantment of the entertainment City provide, we are creating a subliminal link to the state that has facilitated that entertainment. By doing our job, we are doing their bidding, too." I spare no thought to the regime in UAE when City do well, never mind my attitude softening. And as for subliminal messaging - WTF is he going on about. I'm not saying the underlying point doesn't have merit, but that article is utter drivel. Well the article is drivel because if your bias and view. point. I agree with most of it. I usually base my opinions on my viewpoint, unless the articles of the Daily Mail subliminally persuade me otherwise.

Fuck you, I have dyspraxia you little cunt. Are you the guy who almost broke his neck with a watermelon? If so, not sure if symptom or cause

I'd prefer if they'd remain fairly quiet behind the scenes as it wouldn't be something I'm particularly proud of but I'll be supporting us regardless. I do find the dressing up malarky a tad distasteful on reflection but thats probably slightly hypocritical.

I still eat bacon but when I think about little piglets it makes me sad and I feel bad. So I just don't think about them. Simples!

Think F1 are in negotiations for a Saudi Arabian GP and the Joshua Ruiz 2 fight was hosted there. This is obviously a far more direct link so not quite as relevant, but I didn't think anything of watching the boxing and would watch the F1 (if it wasn't fucking dull).

Maybe just copy and paste the text of it for us

I'm confused, how will this tie in with PFI??

Any chance you could summarise? Caulkin Podcast Explains

Arteta has confirmed he was approached.

Oof, Craig obviously doesn't care for the St James press room team and biccies

Hope looks a little silly seeing as 'bust up' and 'fallout' are essentially the same thing.

Apart for bacon clips on here I haven't seen any of his interviews. At first it was out of apathy towards him but now it's cos he's annoying as fuck.
-
I've also never seen it myself but enjoy his discomfort nonetheless

It's embarrassing and it was success by anyone's measure. He knows it's going to wind people up, he just doesn't give a shit. Inflammatory bellend.
-
He'd be better off not having them in to limit his detrimental impact any further.

Exactly the same thing was said the previous times so you'll have to forgive me if I don't see this latest silence as a sign that something is happening. Whatever led to the WSJ piece being written, I cannot say, but there has been nothing since to suggest it was credible. I think the lack of denials from any of the rumoured parties suggests some credibility. They gain nothing from being linked and if anything it harms Staveleys reputation after the original failed bids. More likely there was interest and Ashleys demands have kiboshed it. Edit - or the slump may have had an impact. You'd be nuts to pay nearly 1/2 billion at this stage.
-
"Clearly" The only thing clear here is the club will not be sold. What's your explanation for the Wall Street Journal story and no denials from both parties? Please don't say Keith Bishop. Not disputing your 2nd point mind....

They are a typical big strong side without much ability, they aren't going to be mauling anybody. They'll win though, because at least they know what they are about. It would be funny if Burnley were like 3 up after 65 mins and the 10000 free season ticket cunts just walked out. Like, “fuck it, nothing lost, didn’t cost a penny” and the rest of the crowd are fucking fuming at what’s happening on the park AND in the stands. Then realising they’re the thick cunts who are funding the whole fucking shitshow. They’re actively making it happen. They’re the cause of it all but they’re too fucking thick to join the fucking dots. That would be fucking mint, I’d love it. Think you've picked up some bad habits from your time on RTG, chill out a bit.

Wouldn't that make him a puppet ala Bruce/Joelinton?

Staveley lowballed originally as there was a real chance of relegation at the time and her bids reflected that: £250m cash no clauses. £300m - £200m paid up front and 2 X £50m to be laid later, but not payable if relegated. £350m - various relegation and future success clauses. Can't remember split. Not saying Staveley was wrong to offer that, it was probably fair due to the risk but can understand why Ashley rejected and as we're now talking £350m cash buy, looks like his gamble paid off (if he were to actually sell of course )

He's utterly shameless

Aye, the Glazers really seem the sort that would be massively intimidated by a couple of knackers being divvies near the house of one of their employees.... I’m just bitter about all this. I've got some leftover fireworks that I'm happy to send your way if you feel that aggrieved by the lack of action. Send them Ashley’s way instead. I'm no knacker
