  1. Seems to be a common thing that people are towing this line. I'm trying to recall his other incidents, the Lansbury incident, which was absolutely nothing, which was even overturned. Has he ever been sent off before that playing for us ? I can't recall ? The only other incident was the alleged racism, which was dubious at best and certainly not something that would be held up in a court of law. So unless someone can answer my honest question (as I don't really know for sure), then this line that he has previous with us, doesn't really hold a lot of water. That stupid weird elbow thing. Can't remember who it was against and he didn't get sent off but was pretty risky and petulant. Edit - Was his debut against West Ham. Bodychecked/elbowed Valencia off the ball.

Up to page 38 now with some of the usual bitter w*****s all over it That other Rafa thread was over 200 pages, wasn't it? Without some of our fans winding them up would probs only be about 5 pages. Half of the posts are "why don't you fcuk off" etc and petty squabbling between rival supporters. Neither party fares particularly well....
  3. Won't take long to nip that one in the bud

    Matz Sels

No other option but to Battiston him.

    Matz Sels

    And equally shit shooting
  6. Not sure about this financial year malarkey. Players are assets on the balance sheet and amortised in to the P&L of which 2 weeks will be minimal. Cash is also an asset so net effect is 0 isn't it? Unless there is a benefit to a stronger cash position...
  7. My point, for the dim-witted, is that it's more likely he's being ill-advised rather than having a bad attitude. I'll give him the benefit myself.
  8. Bloody hell, like a 19 year old kid has any idea what's going on. Clearly his agent/family playing knobbers.....article implies as much if you've read it.

It's a glimmer of hope if Short allows it to be used. Some of the squad is useful if retained and the initial Pickford money (22 or whatever)will buy 4-5 decent players. Everton will probably offer 20m for Kone next!

I'd rather just burn strips in to my flesh and the whole of my back. Same affect but less embarrassing.
  11. That's its entire function as a business Whooosh!
  12. Dummett is no worse than Simpson was, both limited but as proven by Simpson's Champions medal, fine as part of a well functioning team. Would prefer Gibbs but not at the sacrifice of other key areas.
  13. Most spurs fans accept the price and assume it was a protracted payment plan. Obviously a few morons still believe that one article but are a minority. He'd be a good player for a team that played to his strengths. A bit of a kn0b but there's hardly loyalty anywhere in football nowadays. Look at the treatment say Dummett gets, sure he's limited but a solid professional and never talks out of turn yet gets ripped in to. Why should players show loyalty when they know they'll be hounded out if found surplus?

Club in putting inflated price tag on player shocker. What did you expect him to say? £10m? He knows they won't get £30m but it's just a game. It'll probably be 15-20m with big add ons approaching high 20s. If he ends up at a competing for top 4 club, and as good as they reckon, then he's got a 10 year plus career so a bargain for the buyer. If he turns out to be solid rather than great he'll be upgraded and sold to a top half club for near £10m in a couple of years and the loss will hardly be felt. The overall risk is pretty marginal in today's football. His wages be a good few £m a year less in comparison to De Gea, Courtois until established.

Need someone from the club to publicly distance themselves/non-cretinous fans from this.

Like the BBC article "Was Saturday the dullest day in premiership history?". No one gives a f**k about them in the slightest....just making up the numbers (or not anymore).
  17. Though that's probably true for every team out there to be fair. You ask any fan and they would probably choose at least 5 players to be replaced. Still have slight hope for Aarons but obviously can't be relied on. Could be an unexpected bonus....
  18. I don't just support the football which admittedly has been a little painful to watch at times, I also support the club. Prior to his arrival we were a circus source of amusement with key figureheads of Ashley, Kinnear, Pardew, Mcclaren etc. These people are cunts, bellends or fools and brought the club down. Now if you say Newcastle United the key highlights to most would be Rafa who is a gent and respected and that we're top of our league. Well worth the trade off to me. When we're back in a league he knows like the back of his hand then sure well see improvements. Ah fuck, son just shit in the bath
  19. This isn't his league. Same way that you've got championship managers who ace it consistently but can't hack it at the next tier. Hopefully we'll get promoted and he'll be back in his element where he belongs.. ...hopefully still with us
  20. Isn't a journeyman boxer someone with an average record? I've always thought of it as both but wouldn't call say Remy a journeyman even though he's played for nearly a different team over the last 5 years.

Unfortunately it takes just one mag at work story for them to think that the hundreds of thousands other united fans who couldn't give a shite about them are obsessed.....hence all horse punchers etc. To be fair, I'd like to think that RTG isn't a true representation of their fanbase but it is a tragic, inbred-esque place.
  22. That doesn't say that any funds raised can be used on top of an agreed transfer budget. To me it reeks of the Summer we just had in that our spend was well documented with the recoup hidden behind the propaganda. Could well be another net profit ahead if we go up. No it doesn't because that wouldn't have answered the question which was... "Bryn Tennant (BT) asked if the club would need to sell players in the summer in order to bring others in." ....which it does answer. Does say elsewhere that discussions on budget are ungoing which puts doubt to the idea that Rafa had specific assurances in his contract.

Should probably move this thread to the chat forum. It increasingly bears little resemblance to anything approaching football matters.
