Such a strange signing as clearly Eddie saw something in him as he was the first player through the door. But he's another one who doesn't look suited to how we play.

He's a great touch / vision which was clear early on. He's not a bad player just isn't suited to how we play. I think next season we'll see a different player as we'll have to adapt.

Same - just watched MOTD. The shot didn't have that much power - compare that to Tonali's. Examples right there the difference a quality keeper can make.

We saw Woltemade's quality at the start of the season but the lad looks devoid of any confidence atm. I do feel sorry for him as he's just not suited to how Eddie wants to play - he's trying to find solutions for him but in the PL especially it's not working. I would love to know Eddies thoughts on why they signed him as it's clear he couldn't be more different in profile to Isak.

I am not saying it isn't but I trust whoever manages the clubs accounts never to do that. However, my point still stands and people are free to disagree - the income that comes from CL, the prestige it brings, is essential if we're to challenge for the top of the table. It brings in substantial income, it helps keeps your best players, and it helps attract better players and it'll help the club sign bigger commercial deals. Isak situations will always happen but CL definitely puts the club in a stronger position.

We have already earned £42 million from being in the CL https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c1dkydlxpk7 so it's not exactly a small sum. And that is probably just prize money and won't include sponsorship and match day income. The CL is a cash machine.
