I'll be honest I put 'on the fence'. Feels like we have gone backwards this season. We seem out of ideas - all we seem good at is pressing but you can only do that for so long. After 30mins yesterday the players looked shattered and that's when Liverpool got into the game. We did nothing to change it until 70th min and the game was gone by that point. I know as fans we are conditioned to lose at Anfield but Burnley managed a draw, Leeds managed a draw, Sunderland managed a draw. Liverpool were there to be got at yet we started the game with no strikers - I still don't get it.

There's no money in Conf League - would cost us more travelling to the games. Also it was also hard enough keeping players / signing players last summer with CL football - if the best we have got to offer them Conf League We need CL.

Disagree - if we're to stand any chance of catching the cartel clubs we need regular CL football. The money in it is insane and without it the gap just gets bigger.

Writz was the game changer for me yesterday - that first goal changed the game and his skill for the assist was pure quality

It was always the same thing though - ball through to Gordon. Easy to read the pass. There were times when Elanga was free but still 'ball through to Gordon'.

Konate did well tbf - especially with what he is going through. But we made it easy for them - just kept crossing into the box with no one attacking the ball. Writz turned the game for me with his quality - until then we were in total control.

He needs a rest - mistakes are starting to creep in because he's shattered.

The club needs CL football to progress - and to stand a chance we need to strengthen. Summer was hard enough this year - with CL football.

Eddie didn't look pleased when he said we're not strengthening in Jan. Worrying. Feels like we're writing off CL football next season as without strengthening there's little chance.

On form this is the worst Liverpool team in a longtime - we were also on the back of an excellent performance in Paris. Barnes goal goes in, VVD doesn't cut out Gordons cross - we well could have won this game. You could see our energy levels drop though after 30mins - the team look shattered. We desperately need another RB / CB - madness not signing either in Jan. Thiaw needs a rest.

Not spending in Jan worries me that PIF have reservations about backing Eddie. As there's PSR headroom apparently.

He's the most like for like replacement to Isak for sure - annoying that he keeps scoring against us as well. With Bruno, Joelinton and Tino fit though i think we win that game. We just lacked that bit of solidity.

Before everyone writes this lad off - to date he's got 7 goals 3 assists in PL , Ekitike 10 goals 2 assists (2 of those goals tonight). So the lads done ok.
