I’ll never understand why anyone would invest this much time and emotional energy into overanalyzing every scrap of information, mostly nonsense, that trickles out. The takeover will happen or it won’t and not a single person on this forum will be involved in or responsible for either outcome. Seems like an awful waste of time, but ho hum. If you could see any particular match (i.e. El Clásico) or visit any ground around the world for a match, what would it be?

Mourinho needs a team he can craft in his own image, a team in which he’s essentially the only personality. I think he and Rafa are similar in that way, though they go about it in different ways. As players become bigger personalities and “brands” themselves, someone like Mourinho will struggle to impose his will. He’d be a tremendous hire for a club like us (under a different owner). He’s an asshole, but he’s still one of the brilliant minds in the game.
