Of course it's hard considering the changing nature of the midfield roles, but Anita and Perch need to be higher on the strict DM list.

I'd say all but Bigi. I think we could still use him here as cover.

One thing we can say now is that the allure of Premier League wages means that every player on every team in Ligue 1 other than PSG is someone that can be acquired by Premier League teams. This combined with the new tax policies coming down the pipeline mean dark times ahead for football in France. I'm not shocked that we got him from a French club, I'm shocked that we got him in front of everybody else. There are at least half-a-dozen clubs with more money than us who could have used him. Agreed. But tbh, Spurs are knocking on the door of the Big Boys' Club. If you can get a good run in the CL and challenge for the league over the next few years, I can't see why Tottenham wouldn't be a first-choice destination for many top players, especially considering location.

Really liking the African representation on our squad. Cisse, Bigirimana, Shola, Yanga-Mbiwa, and Tiote are all Africa-born and Sissoko, Sammy, and Abeid have some direct connection to the continent. Good to see.

I'll be shocked if Jonas isn't starting. Wouldn't surprise me to see Shola either.

Should give Hazard a medal.

Honestly, he's only shooting himself in the foot. Our French players will face superior competition playing in the PL than they would in Ligue 1. He'd be a fool not to capitalize on that. If, of course, it's actually true that he will ignore our French players. He's never ignored Cabaye or Ben Arfa and said nothing about Debuchy, so I'd say its likely this is bull. Then again Deschamps strikes me as a mong so you never know if he might have said it. Either way he's certainly not going to ignore our players. I mean, we've got his starting RB, one of his starting CBs, two CMs, and a RM/RW here now.

I have a feeling our scouts know about as much about La Liga as I do In all seriousness though, our scouts just seem to have strong roots in France and the Netherlands. I'm a little concerned that we haven't developed networks in South America or Spain, as some posters here have been calling for for some time.

Steed Malbranque is pleased at this new turn of events. Ridiculous statement from Deschamps, if true.

Really? I agree it could be massive, but we've just signed two France internationals to replace the glaring weak spots in our first team that were costing us week in week out. I personally feel those two, and a Ba replacement if it comes (don't know what to expect from Gouffran tbh) are the most important considering we were already pretty well stocked in central midfield. Signing Sissoko allows Cabaye and Anita to maximize their potential. Having that box-to-box guy will let Anita sit back and dictate tempo from a deep-lying position and Cabaye to play along the edge of the frontline and distribute up-top. Unlike Tiote, Sissoko is comfortable on the ball and can play equally well as a defensive midfielder and a guy who makes those late runs into the box. Though it remains to be seen whether these new additions also help Tiote regain his form from last season.

Just goes to show how much I really know about La Liga. That is, fuck all.

Isn't Adan a fairly competent, if not good, keeper? And they have a couple of youngsters that are fairly rated no? No, you imbecile. We're all dumber for having read your questions. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
-
JS, what's your take on Bradley? As a Roma faithful.
-
This. Incredible really.
