  1. Again we read this tripe, it don't matter for s*** most of the DM's in this league are tiny..... it's about positional sense and footballing brain more than physicality. Man Utd seem fine with Carrick, City seem fine with Barry, Liverpool with Lucas/Allen, Everton with Neville, Arsenal with Arteta etc etc. The fact everyone needs to be built like a brick house is a myth. Anyone who's seen Tiote up close knows that he's not a big guy by anyone's definition. He's actually quite small. He's built like a tank though. And by no stretch of the imagination can 5'11" be considered "small."
  2. I have to think the addition of Sissoko would mean the exit of Tiote, for money reasons.
  3. I'd say we are desperate for a winger Aye although it depends on the system 4-4-2 would mean a winger and 4-3-3 would mean a wide forward. I still don't know why we didn't go for Mirallas. he's a solid defender mind but he's far too old. What? He's 6 months older than Colo with no history of injuries. He'd be perfect on a 2-3 year deal, give our young backs some time to develop. Not every signing we make has to be long-term.
  4. This is setting a dangerous precedent. The FA is extremely sensitive to accusations of racism (and rightly so). Seems a convenient way to bring any player (or coach or ref) under intense scrutiny and investigation. If it turns out that Chelsea is the proverbial boy who cried wolf, blood is going to spill. Completely devalues accusations of substance. Unless of course Clattenburg did use racist language. In which case, slam him.

  6. Judging off the first 40 minutes and last 10, I liked what I saw from Sammy and Obertan. Both looked very comfortable attacking today. And Ferguson has some nice crosses.
  7. They'll be sent to take Serbian Army ethnic cleansing field courses instead.

  9. Well besides all that, we've got the best infrastructure and guarantee of security.
  10. Probably, but isn't that true of every major tournament? This will probably just be a big exhibition without Confederations Cup considerations. I'm still hoping all the teams put out A-squads, would be the biggest tourney on U.S. soil since WC94.
  11. Worry about your own damn continental tournaments ffs!
  12. Sounds great. It's a ceremonial tournament to celebrate Copa America's centennial. Should be a good time.
  13. I love it. He'll become a vagabond, traveling to far off distant lands. Probably train at a monastery deep in Tibet, find himself and his true purpose, come back and lead the U.S. to victory in the World Cup. Become who you were born to be, Landon.
  14. Well both Lille and Montpellier don't look like qualifying Mathieu and Mapou
  15. Well that wouldn't really matter, should it? Shouldn't the demography of football managers more or less reflect the demographic make-up of the footballing population? Aren't some 30% of footballers in the UK black? Thought I had read that somewhere on the board recently.
  16. Wow, didn't realize this. Pretty extraordinary considering the number of black players in English football. not really national average is less than 3% black so its above average. National average of black footballers or of the UK population in general?

  18. He should be the priority. Granted, we don't know who else might be on the list.
  19. Best bit: "...bluey (among Australians)" Only the Aussies would have slang for the color 'red' that makes no logical sense. I hope you're not being discriminatory towards Australians. Typical bloody yank.

    Football pet hates

One of my 'buddies' is from bumfuck nowhere Pennsylvania, supports the Yankees in MLB, Patriots in NFL, and ManU. Today on FB he goes "We should sign Hummels." Fucking chafes my balls, epitome of a bandwagon fan. Like he feels ManU are entitled to sign someone mint whenever they want.
  22. In my opinion St Petersburg, pisses all over Paris as a city. Unless you're a resident. Outside of the tourist areas, behind the scenes, it's atrocious.
