This Canada-Cuba game is wild. Cuba down to 10 men, with no subs on the bench, and Canada lose a man after a scuffle inside the net after a goal. CONCACAF
-
Cuba showed up to play qualifier in Canada with only 11 players

Unbelievable that this game is tied. They have one good player and he plays in the Championship ffs.

Agreed but they should have to do more to be able to be put into these groups. They are clearly not good enough and just end up being wipping boys, put them amongst the Faroe Islands and that lot and if they improve as a footballing nation bump them up to the groups with the big boys. Would make qualifying more competitive and interesting too. I dunno, I think the potential for a minnow to upset the natural order of things is pretty interesting. Especially in the group format. Moldova's draw with Greece in 2010 WCQ group stage, in a game Greece should have easily won, probably prevented Greece from winning the group (though they did eventually qualify). Start everyone on an even playing field. If England can't beat the likes of San Marino or the Faroe Islands in open group play, that's on England, not on those teams.

It defies logic that they let countries join an international tournament between countries? I would say it defies logic not to include any and all eligible countries.

That gingie lass isn't fooling anyone either

Couched in a more vituperative tone than I might have phrased, but agree with this. Good post +2 for the use of 'vituperative'

Inter's "Homage to England" phase, good times -
Come to the States ffs. you fly to England to watch a game. Nah, better they come to the center of the world than me fly to the periphery. Seriously though, sure to be loads more support for NUFC in the States than in Brazil. 1) Centre. 2) Aye it'll be much more of an experience watching a slow-paced reserve team in the blazing heat of a converted baseball stadium surrounded by hot-dog munching fat cunts amid a flat as a fart atmosphere than in the Gallowgate under the floodlights on a cold January night We're not talking about regular season are we, it's the summer ffs. It's not like the players would be in Newcastle anyway

Donovan and Shea both out, Johnson and Castillo likely to miss the A&B game at least. Which means we travel to A&B with 16 field players, not one of them a naturally left-sided player. Klinsmann has to make at least 2 emergency call-ups. I'm calling Chris Pontius and Jonathan Spector. Not ideal, but Bocanegra is likely gonna have to play at LB for the A&B game (as Spector probably wouldn't be ready in time). Which means there will be no attacking play down the left flank. The midfield is gonna have to adjust. --------------------Gomez-------------------- ------Dempsey---------------Zusi----------- --------------------Kljestan------------------- ---------Bradley--------------Williams------- Bocanegra-----------------------Cherundolo ------------Cameron----Goodson----------- --------------------Howard------------------- I could see Klinsmann still starting 3 DMs unfortunately. In which case we might as well completely write-off the left side of the field. I can't even begin to tell you how much I'll be raging if Beckerman starts this game. Bradley is fully capable of playing out wide on the left, but it's just not fully utilizing his ability. I certainly trust him more than Kljestan out there, who can only really play in the middle of the park.
