  1. I thought Robbie Fowler was "that guy"
  2. Different players. Dempsey will occupy the role vacated by VDV...they're almost like-for-like so Spurs really won't miss a beat there (though I think VDV might be a touch better player at this point, though Dempsey's got more years left). Pienaar had to compete with Bale for playing time and there aren't many left wingers better than Bale.
  3. It was his very first number growing up. And his nickname.
  4. Solid player, would be a good purchase for the right price.
  5. Think Swansea and Fulham have done some astute business. Agreed. Fulham made bank on Dembele and Dempsey, but Berbatov was a shrewd buy and they've got some good young players.
  6. They looked to be occupying the same area for much of the game.
  7. This needs a good bump. Formation is everything to this team.
  8. If we don't come out fully 4-3-3 next week, I'll lose it. Formation is EVERYTHING for this squad.

  10. He is poor. Its the lack of pace and absolute zero recovery when beaten by his man. You are right about him doing good things. Hitler did good stuff to, gets rather overlooked somewhat though. Still a fecking lunatic murdering headcase to put it midly. That's like the (no homo) tag people use to protect themselves from gay things they say. "Hey bro, no homo buuuut I love me a dick up the shoot."

That analogy is a combination of and Mind-numbingly awful. Why thanks, thanks for not realising it was a bit of fun and just a joke, that has run well i thought. Thanks for contribution to it Please, you made an awful analogy in all sincerity and are now trying to play it off like you were taking the piss. The last two pages have been hilarious because they're mocking what you said.
  12. They do have that absolutely atrocious statue of Jacko out front Craven and the owner who thinks the British government assassinated his son and Princess Di.
  13. FFS I can't believe that shit

  15. Simpson is pretty clearly the victim of confirmation bias in that people only watch for the mistakes he makes. And then those mistakes are magnified because of their opinion of him. Rarely does he get credit for the positive things he does (which he does do).
  16. I really don't know what Arsenal should do with their front 3. Podolski - Giroud - Walcott Gervinho - Podolski - Walcott Podolski - Gervinho - Walcott Hell we might even see Walcott as a center striker more this year.
  17. Not sure I agree, they've lost RVP and Song but gained Podolski, Carzola, Giroud and Sahin. If those signings work out then I think they'll do pretty well. Exactly Podolski than anyone they played on the left season, Cazorla is better than Ramsey or Rosicky, Sahin is better than Song. Ok RVP is better than Giroud but the rest of the team is much better. As for a stopper, that only is relevant if they play direct and back to front, but if they play a possession game they don't need one. If you look at the majority of the best teams most of them don't have a destructive force in front of the back 4, it's simply not where football is going. Arsenal's problem is organisation, pressing and overall off the ball defensively as a whole team not any individuals IMO. If they can improve their organisation, pressing and overall off the ball defensive work as a team they will do well, but that's been the case for years. They have good individual defensive players but Wenger just doesn't seem focused on making them work as a unit and no player will magically fix that IMO. The best teams in the world can afford to not have a defensive destroyer because they have excellent back lines. Arsenal's back 4 is certainly suspect. Song was the missing link between the backline and attacking midfield, I'm not convinced Sahin can be that player (in terms of providing adequate defensive cover). Sahin is almost like-for-like with Wilshere. And I really think they're going to have problems finishing this year. Not really impressed by Giroud and neither Gervinho or Podolski are strikers.
