Mackems are fucked and we've got a lovely home draw against lower league team. Time are a changing ... -

Home to Sheff Wed - Good. -
Harry "James Beattie" Kane better than Olivier Giroud? Not in a month of Sundays.

It's all Juve now

St Ettiene evens away to Lorient. Lorient had a man sent off in the first minute and still 45 minutes left.

I had to have a little nibble. Wish I hadn't bothered as I'll probably spend the rest of today arguing with the idiots.

Far too keen in the first mile of the race. Travelled well but used up far too much energy early in the race. Tough day at York today, some big price winners.

Just came on to post this

I thought this would be boring but I can't keep my eyes off it. Work has went for a burton this morning.

Good shout. I went for Covert Love. I should of had the forecast Still a profitable day yesterday. As for today, I think it might just be one bet on Acapulco. She looked an absolute machine when winning at Royal Ascot and will surely take all the beating today. Can still get 5/2 on Betfair Sportsbook - expect it to go off a lot shorter than that.

Haggas is on fire!

You can't give a foreign player one season man. He didn't have the opportunity to live up to his potential. One example that always comes back to me is Robert Pires - he was dreadful in his first season in England. The difference is, Wenger could clearly see the potential for him to improve. Cabellas situation is 100% down to bad management - he can't shoulder any of the blame for me. There are plenty of players that that's applicable to as well. Bergkamp and Modric are the first that spring to mind. I don't remember Pires being bad. Weren't both players mentioned putting in effective performance by the end of their first seasons? I can't remember like, just going off their Wikis. As much as players need time to adapt, there was little in Cabella's game to suggest he was going to develop into an effective PL attacking player. We'll never know now like. I think they were, but the main point is that their managers continued to play them through poor performances. Modric especially was lightweight rubbish for ages and looked completely ineffective. If Modric wasn't as good as Luka Modric he would've struggled badly. He played a lot on the left or extremely deep.. basically something silly iirc. Spurs where bottom 3 at Christmas in his first season. By the end of his first season he was looking a player iirc. Been staring at this for 5 minutes. Nah, still no idea.

I like the look of Dods' runner in the Lowther Stakes at 2.30pm - Easton Angel. I think the 2nd to Acapulco at Ascot is the best form in the race baring in mind Acapulco is favourite for the Nunthorpe tomorrow. Looks a decent renewal but an E/W play at around 5/1 looks safe Covert Love has good form in the Yorkshire Oaks at 3.40pm after winning the Irish Oaks (ahead of Curvy!). Pleascach looked like a real top notch horse at the start of the season but seems to be going backwards. Back from a break today though and could defy big odds at around 7/1. I'll probably stick with Covert Love but Pleascach could be a danger if back to form. There's not much else that interests me on the card.

I wish. Same bloke owns Olivia Fallow and gave me that tip when OF won @ 15/2 which I posted in here.
-
I’ve had tips from that owner 4 times. Twice they’ve won and twice they’ve lost. Both losing occasions I put them on here
-
All about Jonny Cav now - £24.50 Win. Down to 7 runners is a killer for E/W players.
-
Not that I in anyway fancied Arabian Queen to win today and I wasn't at all tempted by going e/w with only 2 places up for grabs. But it is annoying when you've backed the horse e/w the last three runs. 50/1! My manager at work had £2.50 E/W on AQ. Unbelievable. But he does something I mentioned a few pages back, sticks with in form jockeys.

Got a tip for Jonny Cavagin today (4.40 Carlisle). I’ve had this tip before – the one time I put it on here it flopped - but I’ve been told to leave it alone almost all Summer. This morning I got a text along the lines of “Jonny can’t wait to get out there today. Ron has quite a bit on and I’ve been advised to have a big bet”. It’s been backed from 10s to 8s this morning, I’m going to play E/W but bet at your own risk

Only Brighton have 100% record & only 2 teams have no points so far. Incredible really. You'd think both would be up there but I reckon you could make a decent case for about 8-9 teams. I think Boro are a certainty to be involved at the top end for most of the season. Derby have been really disappointing in their first couple of games but I'd imagine they'll come good with the squad they've got. Might just take a while to get going under Clement. As you say, there's a whole host of other teams that will get involved throughout the season.

I hate the notion that we all want a "geordie XI" but I do agree that our academy needs to start producing first team footballers no matter where they come from.
-
Going to have to screenshot that table because it'll be the one and only time it'll happen all season!

2 correct scores but not a lot to go with it. Not a bad start.
