It's canny annoying, this line. If you want to talk about transfers or ambition or anything like that you have to also talk about money. At one point no one was arsed about transfer fees - it was just about getting the right players. I wish the board and supporters put the same level of concern into the teamsheet as they do the balance sheet. Possibly, but that's just a sign of how football is organised now. Obviously if you ignore money we should always make more and more signings, pay whatever wages and every time we don't do that it's a massive failure. But surely you're just being willfully ignorant of reality if you take that view? You're being 'willfully ignorant' of what I said. I don't mean to go and splash out and spend absolute fortunes whilst spending ridiculous wages. Just something would be nice. Someone with a bit of flair, a bit of excitement for the suffering fans. How can Southampton, Swansea etc afford to go out and buy players for £10m plus whilst we can't. We'll never ever compete with this current regime yet you seem to almost accept this as the norm. It's wrong, it's all wrong. We're not *really* suffering though. We're eighth. We've won at Old Trafford, White Hart Lane. Beaten Chelsea. Sure, there's been some poor performances too but after last season I'd have taken this position. A lot of clubs would love to swap with us and bear our suffering. It's fucking pathetic man. The acceptance of mediocrity amongst some of our fan base if frankly embarrassing and also part of the problem. Would you go into a deli and ask for a big breakfast then feel satisfied if they gave you a bacon sarnie?

  4. Honestly, I would rather drop down a few divisions if it meant getting good honest owners in. I could then go back and enjoy my hobby again.

They have actually managed to change some supporters mindsets from that of football fans to people who take more interest in balance sheets and accounts. This is my biggest gripe. There used to be a time when no one give two fucks about balance sheets.
  6. Public, written, and I'd give him a piece of the club via ownership and a MASSIVE role with the club for as long as he sees fit. I'd also be extremely vocal to all media outlets, etc to stamp out men like Ashley, Tan etc from the game. I'd also work on a deal to bring an American sports store into Newcastle and undercut Mike Ashley's businesses and offer people incentive for doing so (incentive = discounted tickets or something). Yes, I'd be an absolute c*** to that man - what he's done to the fine people of Newcastle who've supported the club near and far is utterly disgusting. I'd be a billionaire owner of this club and I'd spend personal money being a libelous/defaming c*** to Mike Ashley and Joe Kinnear.
  7. Thank fuck someone is talking sense for once.
  8. 6/5 on William Hill, 11/10 on PP and that's all I've checked. Yep. Got 6/4 last night for it. He was right about not getting a great price mind Chucked 50 notes on it too. Forum Bet. I've done some more research into the bloke who gave the tip - he's actually the person who does the RPR (Racing Post Ratings). I'm tempted to go for the biggest bet of my life here
  9. ' Always complaining you're skint then I check on here and you're always throwing money away on teams like Deportivo Saprissa.

  11. £3 on Watford +BTTS, Sociedad+BTTS returns £35
  12. This is what the club has done to our fans, it's making us as negative as them. Ashley is like the Demon Headmaster.

I'm expecting an update from GFN twitter soon. They usually have something to say in the afternoon once training is finished.
  14. Course I've f***ing heard of him. I was being sarcastic ffs.
  15. Keith Barrett is one of the most loyal outstanding Newcastle United supporters in recent times. I'm very surprised you haven't heard of him, he doesn't go anymore because of Mike Ashley which is a great shame. Got some great stories from my uncle when he used to charter planes to Newcastle away games. Great bloke. I thought he didn't go any more because he got banned for trying to lamp someone during the relegation season? He did at Hull Away in the FA Cup but that banning order is finished now. He chooses not to go these days.

    Loïc Remy

I really don't think it was. Aye he over-reacted but players know you can't do it, so why do it? 100% stupidity. Can't do what? Stare at other players.

I think this bid is genuine but in the past we have certainly made 'fake' bids.

They showed him miss that then showed him getting subbed
  20. £20 treble on Newcastle/Arsenal/Man Utd returns £134.
  21. Check what you want i'm French and post from France !!! Show respect, i respect everybody here. I'm assuming by the broken English, this one is a real PSG fan. Showing respect is not coming on another club's board and lording it up cos you've took their best player. Anyway where's the lack of respect, not that there is a need for us to show any towards any other club on OUR board of course ? I've only read the last few pages, but it's all about the frustration with our own Billionaire owner and his lack of ambition. It's not about PSG at all, in fact, if Cabaye had to go, I don't think I'm alone in saying that PSG was as good a place as I would have liked him to go, out of our league and less likely to face us anytime soon. The big factor is you don't play Champion's League.... and everybody know that your chairman don't want invest in the club to be in the big four in the PL. Don't complain, you got already HBA, Debuchy, Gouffran, Sissoko.... they are good players and we know them very well. Mackem kernt.
