    Players in public

Aye, it's not like they have copious amounts of money to bring their family over and mansions to put them up in for the holidays. Poor b******s. It's still shit. Just 'cos they have big bank balances it doesn't mean they wont miss spending time with their families at Christmas time.
  2. O'Brien song at Sunderland (1-1 Cabaye; Ba OG game) went on for ages throughout the second half. I wouldn't say it's my favourite chant but that got me going at the SOL when everyone was actually joining in.
  3. I always think that. £40 on a 'dreamer' man, madness.
  4. I hope he doesn't resign. Disgrace from Tan, he's actually way worse than Ashley.
  5. That's pathetic. Good celebrations as ever by the USA though.
  6. Makes it sound easier though - "just put your winnings on the next bet, then them winnings on the one after". We'll all be millionaires in no time ...
  7. It's a fun day out! We usually go to the trainspotting pub ("nae c***s leavin till we find out whit c*** did this!") which is alright but yours sounds pretty fun. The whole of that area is minging but you're a stones throw from the west end, it's bizarre Used to live in Partick but no more. The whole area was pretty much a dump like but it probably made it better. All the fans I met were proper working class football fans. Bizarrely a Swedish magazine were there doing a report on Partick Thistle for next months edition as well which I found pretty strange. Cracking day out though and hopefully next time the weather will hold up so I get to see a full game. St Mirren away on 25th January is looking like a possibility, see what Paisley has to offer!
  8. Went to Partick Thistle v St Johnstone on Saturday, called off at half time with some of the worst wind and rain I've seen. In fact, yesterday was much the same in Glasgow - absolutely terrible weather. The game was an absolute bore and both sides struggled with conditions, goalkeepers were struggling to clear half way when kicking out of their hands like an under 8s game Found an absolute dive of a pub, a really old fashioned place next to Firhill that only offered Mcewans, Mcewans extra cold and some sort of Scotch/Exhibition type beer on draught, literally just 3 pumps. The place looked like it hadn't had a lick of paint for 30 year but it was right up my street with the Thistle fans in there much better crack than the average chain bar customer. Think I'll be heading back next month again for some more SPL fun!
  9. The whole draw was made available on Twitter last night by @uefacorruption. Could be interesting if it's going to leak some good stuff.
  10. Missing this one tomorrow to go watch Partick Thistle v St Johnstone. Can't even listen to it so going to be regular internet checks I'd imagine. Still fancy a 2-2 draw, Gouffran and Remy for us.
  11. St Gallen? Kevin Gallen more like.
  12. Which Championship team play at Goldsands Stadium? Which football league club were originally called Black Arabs FC? Who was manager of AC Milan for their European Cup wins in 1989 and 1990? Which Ajax manager invented 'Total Football'?
  13. My favourite question of the night was, Which player won his first 4 England caps whilst playing for 4 different clubs? Also, which England international got 62 caps, making his international debut in 1989 before retiring at the end of Euro 1996?
  14. Good night at the quiz at the Hotspur. Really, really difficult at times like but done ok in finishing 5th (I think) out of 14 teams. Some of the stuff shouldn't be known but one of our lads helped out massively. He got the Portsmouth link to Sherlock Holmes as he used to live there and had heard one of the locals mention it.
  15. FFS just let the thread drop (I know irony in me bumping it by replying) we won 1-0, once. They've beaten us plenty times at there place by much bigger scores. This kinda post sounds like something we would deride the dirty mackems for (before they regularity started beating us) 2-1 FTM. Enjoy the victory by all means but lets move on, it's just one of a lot of good results for us this season. Makes us sound a little small time tbh. No chance. Suffered too much pain from them bastards to not enjoy this one for as long as possible.
  16. Can't let this thread drop down too low. Keep on winding up the two Man Utd fans at work, the latest edition is a copy of the table with "<LOL" pointing at Manchester United. Quick response from one of them, "I've deleted it without looking - it's childish and boring now". They're really hating it as much as I'm loving it. Still like an excited little child sending group emails around the office with links to various different match reports. Their pain is clear to see, the most beautiful of sights.
  17. Cheers mate. I seen the video the other day and just wanted to see how I'd done.
  18. I think there's a few of us coming along - by the way is there anywhere I can find the answers for the video quiz from November? I reckon I done well but couldn't check the answers.
  19. With most things in life, I'd want to know that kind of thing. And I would if I was a manager. But much about my love for football is irrational - I don't want that cheer for a corner - or relief of a clearance from one - taken away from me now. I've read it and it's excellent but I now seem to be counting how many goals I see from corners and I reckon this season their theory would be wrong as there seems to be a larger than normal amount. They also have a chapter all about how Chelsea should have signed Darren Bent instead of Torres which I thought was pretty random. Also, you get a lot of funny looks when reading this on public transport.

    Sunderland

What's he done to them recently? Anything of note? Most recently had them down to 9 at Hull. They all reckon he nearly always sends one of their players off. Ah right, aye. Good then - keep up the good work Andre.
  21. Over the moon with Debuchy and how he has turned it around. I'm the first to admit that I slated the poor lad after the first 5 games or so, happy to eat humble pie now. Keep it up
