I refereed his son a few year ago and he was watching. It was down Blackpool at a tournement and I suppose the last thing he expected was a conversation with a Newcastle fan but he had some good crack and was happy enough to chat. His son must be around 16 now, he was class for his age group at 12/13 and if he has kept up his progress he'll be a pro. Billy Beresford - remember the name. Agree. Me too. Although maybe not 'deserve', as how much someone deserves to earn is a fairly nonsense claim. But they should have the lion's share of the money that is generated from their sport. Deserve might not be the best word but it's an entertainment industry, and they seem to be the only entertainers that get scrutinised because of how much they earn.

I think footballers deserve the wage they get.

I think the Premier League is as weak now as it ever has been. I dont think Debuchy will cut it (from the early evidence). I think Sissoko has zero technical ability and is the kind of footballer I hate to watch.

Quick wikipedia search on zero hour contracts has this line : " In 2011, such contracts were prevalent in many parts of the UK economy:" Reckon there are many employers of 20k+ where 90 per cent of workers are on them? I don't know either way, I'd be surprised though. It does seem high but I was just looking at some stuff on the internet there and there was a BBC article saying 300,000 care workers in the UK are on those contracts It's a cheap shit shop though which is why it's hardly surprising.
