  1. Got any photos to back that up? Quick wikipedia search on zero hour contracts has this line : " In 2011, such contracts were prevalent in many parts of the UK economy:"
  2. "The four biggest supermarkets in Britain, Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury's and Morrisons, said they do not use zero-hour contracts. Other retailers to confirm that they do not employ staff on these terms include Argos, B&Q, Homebase, John Lewis and Marks & Spencer." So how many companies does that leave who do have zero hour contracts? They are ridiculously common, I can't believe the Guardian is printing this stuff.
  3. Porto go onto my future avoid list. Just went to put £20 on USA in play at 2.75 and it suspended because they'd scored. Think I'll leave betting alone tonight in case it gets worse.
  4. There's absolutely no story there. In retail, on the shop floor, the majority of staff will be on zero hour contracts. As for those on disciplinary not getting a bonus then that is also a common occurrence - things like bad sickness always go against staff.

    Loïc Remy

He played 14 out of QPRs last 17 games (scoring 6) I think he was on about Adel Taarabt, in which case he's pretty much summed him up.

He plays for a team in my league on a Sunday. Seems a decent kid actually, doesn't seem the knacker type. Got a picture of him? Could take one from his Facebook if there was ever a need.

  9. Just watching Porto game and the white kit they're wearing is quality.
  10. 3 winners and 1 second on me Lucky 15 today - typical.
  11. If we really want him then just ring that Aulas and tell him we'll leave it, tell him we'll move onto our next target. Go ahead and make a fake bid for a random Ligue 1 striker thus making Aulas shit himself and ring us back accepting the £6.9m. Easy this transfer game.

SSN just said we've made a loan offer. Actually, it's on the yellow ticker!

I told you it would make them come to a resolution!

But this opinion seems to be based on absolutely nothing. So what, man. He's entitled to his opinion, and he's not exactly the only one saying it. He's a grass, he's got enough on his plate. Leave him be.

Ha! I knew how that would sound but they were going to use it anyway off the internet and just wanted me to send the original to see if the quality would be better. It had already been in the papers and the internet so isn't as bad as it sounds.

No, I said it yesterday - I took the photo in November and just thought, "ah I'll take a picture and show the lads on the ferry tomorrow". The picture was never took with the intention of being in the public domain (if you think this isn't normal - check out players in public thread and you'll see many people taking pictures of players). I didn't post the picture on the internet and have only ever sent it to two people (My mate and Look north), Look North wanted it after it had already been in the paper so I thought I might as well, it doesn't make a difference. The "silly" interview I had consisted of me saying "Yeah he was there, gambling about a tenner or 20 quid per hand, I've seen him a couple of times and no he wasn't drinking alcohol". I'm not arsed about doing it, the story was going ahead anyway and if I never said anything then another fan somewhere would have.

Who gives a f*** about what Allah demands? (I certainly don't anymore. ) Cisse is free to choose what to follow and what not to follow with his religion. Me, if it means Cisse wont wear a top with Wonga written on. Despite the fact they give revenue to the club that then pays his wages - indirectly Wonga pay Cisses wages. My point is that Cisse is free to practice his religion the way he wants it, as long as it doesn't break the laws of the land he's living in. Basic human right, no? Yes he is, and it is my personal opinion that it isn't his beliefs that is stopping him wearing the top. It is a smokescreen to cover his reputation as he trys to get a move elsewhere. My opinion by the way.

According to a well respected member of the local Muslim community, you can't pick and choose which parts of the religion to follow. Whether other religions do is irrelevant. As implied by the PFA and Cisses agent, Papiss Cisse is not wearing the shirt because of religious beliefs. The photo in the casino then contradicts his stance as you can't pick and choose what parts of the religion to follow. I've got my own personal opinion that the Wonga story is a smokescreen and there is an underlying story behind his decision that needs unearthed. I don't really know what more there is to say, as someone said earlier though - this is just going round in circles and occasionly it's going way off track.

As has already been said, it has no relevance and the point I was originally making was that celebrating Christmas had nothing to do with it - I probably could have phrased it better

What? Are you saying you can't think of a single job a Christian would refuse to do because of his faith? Off the top of my head: A priest who declines to marry gay couples. A priest isn't paid to marry gay couples though - for example, working within the Catholic church, I doubt it is in his job description. Papiss Cisse is paid to play football for Newcastle United and, in line with employment law, he must wear a unifom if one is neccesary as dictated by his employers. Excuse me? How is he not paid to marry gay couples if the church tells him to? Several countries do this incase you aren't aware. The catholic church doesn't permit the marriage of gay couples as far as I know. Therefore, when he took the job on, he knew he wouldn't have to do that. Whereas, Pappiss Cisse knew he would have to wear a shirt with a sponsor on, and at the time of signing we were then sponsored by a company that borrowed money. The original point I was actually making was that Christmas has precisely f*** all to do with the Cisse story, just like a priest marrying people has no relevance. EDIT: I see you have said that some countries do - I wasn't aware of this but as above it's irrelavent in this context.
