So a £3m player quickly becomes a £10m one to these clowns, with their 6 year contracts to protect their investment first and foremost. It's about experience, he'll score them goals and give them a good chance of promotion if the rest of the team is right too. Not so sure he'll be much cop in the Premiership and they have next to no hope of recouping anywhere near that fee even if he does well. But I guess they're showing a bit of ambition, even if it's with the wrong kind of target in my eyes.

Bimpys good people. I don't see him post much about his lass but what he does post is clearly far removed from the reality of Mrs Bimpy. Very proud of him last night. Keepers do all sorts to get into the kick-takers mind, I didn't see anything wrong with what he did. If I was the kick-taker, it would piss me off massively but getting the psychological advantage is a huge part of a shoot-out and I thought that Costa Rica crumbled.

We work on attacking for one day of the week mostly, although that was supposed to have changed towards the end of the season. IMO, Pardew is very much of the mindset that you cannot coach attacking play, and so it is better to work on defensive drills and team shape.
