  1. He isn't a Cabaye replacement. He might play first team football but he is not the man to replace Cabaye.
  2. Next logical step for Clermont is to stalk her until she loves them.
  3. Sven was negative. There was a feeling at the time that a more offensive style could get a lot more out of the talented crop of players we had. McLaren was the wrong successor in every way and Capello, though a good clued up coach, was too much for a few egos to take.

Why does there have to be comparisons between footballers and soldiers? Two totally different lines of work, two totally different pay scales. Most lads get into it through the honour and pride the army brings. If the pay isn't enough, retrain. The dangers are there but more people are killed in England every day than there are soldiers killed abroad, should my pay be astronomical because I work with the public? Basically, fuck off Wright.
  5. I think Rio Ferdinand still has something to offer in this league, but as manager of any side in this division, I wouldn't want him as a starter.

Did those burglars hold Wright's brain hostage too?

Cuisine: British. That's pie and chips isn't it? Mebbes a crumpet.
  9. Really thought I'd get back in to a couple of goals in this game. Not been as good as expected?
  10. Is he worth the reported £80k p/w?
  11. Should strip him of the accolade IMO Was Ronaldo dropped for every weak opponent Brazil played during his career?

Can see them offering him a player coach role. I hope he seriously considers the offers from abroad.
  13. Impossible, network games don't work that well.
  14. Pardew would have picked a team that would have given us a chance of winning the game. I'm sure I've heard him say that before in regards to us. Truly a revolutionary idea.
  15. Why can't Muntari tie his shorts like every other player manages?
  16. As much as Pardew and Elliot may get on, I doubt Pardew would want him as his number 1. I don't believe he wants the club to be relegated.

I can see Gerrard starting for England until he chooses to retire tbh.

So the more experience for Lallana now the better. He'll likely have a Euros under his belt by that time too.
  19. It's a bit of a weird one like. My brother has tattoos of his lasses daughters on his arms, but their dad doesn't bother with them at all and lives down the country.

No reason now why Hodgson shouldn't start Barkley, Lallana and Shaw. Give them World Cup experience.

Yup that's why teams playing a registered tend to have 2 players in front of the deepest midfielder if he's creative. Watch France tonight who play 433 but with Pogba and Matuidi covering a lot of the ground in front of Cabaye This is also apart of the reason why Liverpool fell apart at the end of the season they ran out of legs Henderson was knackered and Allan and lucas aren't good enough players all around to play the box to box role Yeah, it just doesn't work with a midfield 2 like that. Id only look to play someone that deep if they were Makelele quality, other than that I'd prefer Wilshere in there who can play deep but has enough awareness of the role to know when to move up. I don't think Wilshere is good enough to play in a midfield two at international level personally. In fact I don't think any of our central midfielders are. We either go 4-2-3-1 with a double pivot forming a shield or we go 4-3-3 with given our midfielders an anchor I don't think we have the players to play either system particularly well mind. Yeah I'd look at 4-3-3 because you have the flexibility with it to pull your wide men back deep. No idea about who to play the deeper role but ahead of him I'd have Wilshere and Barkley. Priority for the Euros for me would be to have Barkley and Sturridge develop a very good understanding of each other's play.

Yes agree about Johnson. I thought he looked nervy when they were in possession but decent enough offensively. Bit lucky for his assist but we needed someone to try and go past a man. I remember seeing Sven try Beckham in a similar role. You need legs in your midfield at international level, and especially in that kind of climate. Perhaps the plan was for Gerrard to sit deep and watch the ball to Suarez but Suarez was so mobile that it was pointless. You're assuming that one of the worlds best off the ball is going to stay still and sit behind a defensive midfielder. Naive tactics.
