chill! They'll re-up with all the money they'll get. In a way it's great that they were able to develop the players they had so well, in order to achieve what they did, and make so much money off of them, which is what they needed really. Re-up? Alreet Stringer Bell.

I hope he realises that by coming here, he will have to practically teach himself. As a young striker, I'd be looking at our current strikers and thinking "who am I going to learn from?"

His lass is local, I wonder how he'd feel about uprooting his new family? If it wasn't for that, I could easily have seen him sold back to a club in Italy this summer. Shame, as I do believe there's something there, it's just not going to be brought out in him with these jokers we call our manager and coaching staff.

Advanced talks? He's signed, sealed, delivered.

If we don't sign a Cabaye replacement and Jack Colback is our only signing then I'm right there with you. For the squad, Colback is perfectly fine. Like I said earlier, I don't think we will bridge the gap in valuations that ourselves and Montpellier have, and another club will be in for Cabella. Then wash and repeat for the next target of real quality.

Probably be announced in a few days. Monday I'd guess.
-
It depends what you want from a player. I wouldn't play Tiote at home against a bottom half club.

He isn't a Cabaye replacement in ability, but the fear is he is a Cabaye replacement in body. Not to doubt you but can't you see that scenario, we tried but at least we got Jack over the line. Honestly i see Colback as Cabaye's replacement in the squad (number wise), and watching us attempt to sign decent players for a pittance again, well conclusions will be drawn. I don't think we have much intention to replace Cabaye going from the usual lowball bids for Cabella. If he's so good, you pay the extra, we're fannying around as usual. We will likely move on to Grenier soon and do the same. Colback will be here to make up a squad place and offer good cover for Anita and Santon. I don't like to use the words hard working cos they have a negative connotation on here, but he's about as genuine and honest a professional footballer that you'll come across. He lacks quality in the final third, that's why he's on a free and relatively low wages, but he plays a good part in the build up and offers good cover defensively. I don't like speaking on this signing too much as some of the comments are overly harsh and I know people are upset over it. I don't wanna be seen as a troll, I'm just offering my view.

He isn't a Cabaye replacement. I hope people aren't going to judge to that high standard. He will take Goslings place in the squad with the plus of him being competent at full back. He hasn't been shite for Sunderland, and it wasn't just a purple patch last season. Until his roles in the derby wins, he was seen as a mag cunt and they judged him accordingly. He has always been solid for them. Ipswich too.

Geordie that looks like Ryback kissed a picture of Cabs while Puffy's Biggie song plays in the back. Looks like Ryback and Big Show had a baby.

Just about the most pathetic thing I've ever read on here. Well done.

People are so precious over a hand gesture he made in the heat of the moment. As for the ssh gesture, he gets stick every time he plays against us, from the usual cowards calling him ginger or a cunt.
-
I've said a few times he's a good player. Happy to stand by that once he signs.
-
He will prove a lot of folk wrong.
-
Top class player.
-
Who gives a fuck about his hair? I never understood blokes judging other blokes hairstyles like, leave that to the lasses.
-
You always want more. There's still a lot of unfinished business for him.
-
Max I would stretch to is £25k a week, 3 year deal with an option for a fourth if he makes more than 90 appearances over the 3 years. West Ham will pay that because they are skipping the transfer fee so if you assume Jacks market value is £4m it works out about the same, and he's in a position where a few clubs are after him so can demand a bit more.

Signed a new deal until 2017. Good move.

Deserved much more of a chance here. No one can dispute that.
