Sherwood gone.

Rooney has to show up this year, but past tournaments say it's unlikely he will. 10 years since that breakthrough tournament where he looked unplayable.
-
Leicester are going to be another club we just can't compete with. They want Europe within 3 years.
-
Barclay is a bit of a card like.
-
£60m includes players wages over entirety of the contract, agents fees, medical insurance and a rather generous, it not entirely necessary, donation to the Nigerian space programme.

I don't think Henderson would do any better at right back. I'd rather he played the role he's excelled in all season, and keep Barkley as that wild card off the bench for the first couple games.

The trumpets are fine when you've heard vuvuzelas. It adds to the atmosphere.

Meanwhile we will go into the middle of August haggling over a few thousand pound.

"Carroll played like what we call in Italy a paintbrush striker, he was there to add the finishing touch. "He played well on his own and although Newcastle were aiming for his head with some of their passes, he showed he can play with his feet too because he laid the ball off excellently to the supporting midfielders. "He will be an asset because he can find the players around him in different ways and has already shown he has great awareness." Mind I think he was complimentary as he had almost broken Carrolls neck in a tackle.

It's a good time for Shaw to move to Man United with Evra over the hill. Can maybe spend a season learning from him and be eased in ready to take over full time.
-
Does feel like he's been in the game an absolute age, but he did break through at Leeds when he was 16/17.
-
I wonder where Carr stands on a move to a more English signing policy? Possibly the guy who's recommending the likes of Colback?
-
Good squad, no complaints from me.

Next manager tbh When I think back to some of our better managers, none of them have cut me up at the Tunnel toll booths. Destined to fail.
-
I was dealing with a man who clearly wanted to avoid the queues to the right. I was to the left, where it was steady moving. Do I think it was a rash decision from him? Absolutely. And I wouldn't be afraid to tell him that.
-
And then you realise it was a shot.

You can agree deals but obviously can't register the player. Main worry with doing that is injuries and a lot of clubs will want to wait until they have a replacement lined up themselves. Obviously that last bit doesn't concern Mike.
-
I'm entirely fed up thinking of him staying. I don't want to sacrifice this clubs top flight status, so relegation as a means to get him out is out of the picture. He's just one man, Ashley is just two men, we can hopefully have a future soon where Ashley sells the club and the new owner sacks off Pardew pronto.
-
Not a player, but Paul Lambert going through the tolls at Tyne Tunnel, heading northbound. I only know it was him cos he cut me up and I looked across as I was on the toll next to his.
-
I never want to see this club relegated again, even if it meant Pardew lost his job. The club is bigger than him and the man who owns it, Mike Ashley. We're a top flight club, I don't want to see us mixing in the lower leagues with that threat of getting stuck there forever being there. I hope that Ashley sells this club and it's then ran by someone with football in their heart.
-
Pardew still clinging onto the hope he'll wangle a deal for him then.
-
It might be happening to Pardew also, but Pardew is complicit in it. Without a doubt.
-
First half that team held their own, but Liverpool looked toothless. I think it was as much us playing half decent as it was them playing below what they can. We collapsed, shipping two goals in around 3 minutes and that was it. We offered next to nowt second half.
-
It'll happen. Pardew will spend it wrongly and then Ashley has an excuse for why we don't spend much in the future. You're just saying to make me happy aren't you? FUUUCCCCKKKK!!!!! Thought I wouldn't be as pissed off once the season was done with but I'm raging at the thought of him keeping his job. It'll have taken Ashley this long to get over what happened when he gave Allardyce a bit of money, only for Pardew to do the same. Any future managers under Ashley's tenure won't have a hope in hell.
